Stayed at the Posada de los Sauces for 3 nights recently on a business trip. It was OK, but nothing to get excited about. ||||Room: The room size is average. I had a small (by today's standards) TV with cable and several stations that had movies or TV shows in English. There is free internet access, but its somewhat slow. The bed is clean and comfortable, but the carpet in my room was pretty dirty and probably needs to be replaced. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of space. ||||Location: Depends what you're looking for. Not much is in walking distance unless you don't mind walking about 1mile and then you're on the main shopping street. There is also a nice path along the water that is very close if you like to run or just take a long walk. Its a convenient location to the industrial areas where I needed to be. Mostly residential in the area. ||||Restaurant: The restaurant has a pretty good dinner (keep in mind that no one eats before 9pm) but the free breakfast was pretty sparse. Just a few breads and coffee and not much more. ||||Service: No complaints, they are friendly enough, but again nothing stand out. I don't remember anyone speaking English very well, but then again I hardly speak Spanish at all. Maybe I would have a different impression if I spoke Spanish. ||||My recommendation is only luke-warm. I wouldn't encourage someone to stay there, but if they asked if it was OK, I'd say "sure". I haven't stayed anywhere else in the area to compare to. This place was perfectly fine and I would never say to avoid it, but it is just average...

Read moreMy husband and I stayed here about 12 years ago and really enjoyed our stay. The accommodations are not spacious but are comfortable and clean, the hosteria is charming and pleasant. I would like to have stayed here on my recent trip (Dec. 2012) but couldn't get an answer to my emails to make a reservation, and the phone number I had didn't seem to be current . On this recent trip, I was surprised and pleased that the hosteria was recommended to my friends and me for dinner; it was excellent. It has a nice variety of dishes, a good wine list, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere. I would recommend Hosteria Posada de los Sauces for either accommodations,...
