After mixed reviews on Google, we didn’t know what to expect - but we gave the restaurant a chance anyway.
The atmosphere was not good in the restaurant and the lights were similar to what you find in a hospital - too bright - which did not set the scene for a cozy evening. But that was the least of the issues.
We ordered tacos, a beer and a mojito. Our waiter misunderstood and brought us a magarita instead. We let her know that it was against our order - but ok, perhaps the magarita would be good with the tacos. However, after taking a sip, we found out that the drink was almost purely based on tequila - way too strong! We let the waiter know and told her we would like to have the mojito instead of the magarita (which we didn’t order in the first place).
The tacos were mediocre at best. Fried chicken without seasoning, vegetables.. Not much could go wrong. We suspect - alike some of the other Google reviews - that the tortillas were made out of empanada dough, and we tend to agree. In conclusion, the tacos were acceptable; but definitely not a culinary epiphany.
When we received the bill, we noted - to our surprise - that we were charged for the magarita as well even though we did NOT order it and we didn’t drink it (except for that one sip to find out that it was pure tequila). We let the waiter know and she insisted that we paid for it - but we don’t know why since there were some language barriers. Good for the restaurant’s economy, I guess; very bad for the customer experience!
All in all, I would NOT recommend to visit this place. If you’re out in town for a good meal and cozy atmosphere, go...
Read moreIf I could give this place zero stars I would! They were rude and disrespectful and didn't even apologize. The guy who appears on the social media making drinks brought me a dirty cup that was bitten and proceeded to laugh at my face telling me “ here “ “ I didnt find another cup but I disinfected it “. He then laughed right at my face. I went inside to speak to the “manager” a lady with glasses but she didnt even apologize and said she couldn't give me a discount but could make me a new drink. I told her I didnt feel comfortable drinking my drink after I asked for a cup and they brough me a dirty one and laughed right at my face. She said she understood but still didnt even bother on apologizing…. She did make me a new drink and that was it. I would never come back and I do NOT recommend this place whatsoever! Be careful with the guy who works here and serves drinks. He does not care about hygiene and uses dirty cups!!! I dont know his name but he is the one on their social media posting as a bartender with a mexican hat on. Be careful and dont go here. Save your $$ go...
