Firstly, I would like to let you know that our experience with your venue was very disappointing. From the moment we arrived until we left, the service was extremely poor. Here are a few bullet points to illustrate the issues we faced:

Even after I informed you that the cake was nut free, you refused to serve it. Despite my reminders, you then asked about the filling and seemed to still disregard me. You refused to serve the cake to my daughter for her 21st birthday, claiming it was not at the right temperature. When I requested to serve it ourselves, you again denied our request. After refusing to serve our cake, you offered to store it in your fridge, which was confusing and 100% contradictory. I decided to let it go and not ruin my daughter's birthday, but I was still very disappointed with your service and attitude. I found out from the others in the group that ordering drinks was also challenging. They had to go to the front desk to place their orders and then wait for at least 10 minutes to get a single drink. They were also told that they could not have the tasting at our table and had to do it at the front. Despite the fact that they then served a smaller table right after, what a joke! When we were leaving, you ruined the surprise by showing my daughter the cake and telling us to take it with us. To top off everything else, we were overcharged for the food and drinks we received. I have experienced bad service in the past, but this was by far the worst. I would not recommend your venue to anyone.

Let's put everything into perspective, shall we? You charged me $45 per person and even more for gluten free options. However, you only provided us with two platters, which were very average. and ten pizzas, without any customer service. I'm sorry, but I can't help feeling a bit emotional about this. What did we actually pay for?

We cannot think of any other place to have our perfect vineyard wedding at McLaren Vale! Beach Road Wines not only provided us with an amazing view overlooking the vineyard, the food and staff were amazing and caring. Our international guests were stunned by this gorgeous view of their hill. The wines we had at the wedding also were produced at Beach Road, so that was fantastic, the Sangria was also very tasty. It definitely added to the community vibe to our wholesome wedding. They catered to our needs perfectly, and were always responsive and helpful with my detailed request to make our day perfect being able to add our own style. We have been going to Beach Road Wines as restaurants before, we cannot wait to keep visiting them again, next time reminiscing our beautiful wedding night. Best Wedding Coordinator, Adrienne: Adrienne was the reason why we strongly wanted to go with Beach Road Wines, and this decision was proven to be the best decision even until the end of our wedding planning. From the first til the end of our wedding planning journey, Adrienne was there for us in every step of the way. We can feel that this is not just her 'work', but her 'passion'. She went above and beyond ensuring that we can have the best day. She is amazing at managing small details and requests, even coordinating vendors and helping with the styling. She cared about our wedding just as much as we cared about it, and she was one of our biggest emotional support, guiding through this crazy wedding planning journey. It is really true to be careful to choose vendors for your wedding, because it can really make your memory the best memory or nightmare. Came for a lunch and tasting on a quiet Saturday. Had a booking for 2. Was told our booking hadn't been processed as they were trialling a new booking system and it had failed on this occassion. They inititally were going to turn us away as they were "booked out". However last second offered to give us a table so long as we were out within an hour, and guaranteed our order would be fast tracked. Figured this was a reasonable compromise.

We were seated and offered table water. However for the next 20 minutes no one brought the water, nor took our order. There were a lot of workers standing around talking to each other, serving other tables but appeared to be completely ignoring us. I ended up having to make our order at the counter, where I was made to feel like an extreme inconvenience, and did not receive any apology from the staff.

We eventually got our food with about 20 minutes left of our 1 hour, and we felt extremely rushed to finish. We ended up finishing our drinks and food in the outdoor area. The worst past is throughout the whole time, the place appeared to be at less than half capacity, with what appeared to be more workers than customers. Even half an hour after we had left our table, they had not cleared our table, essentially rushing us for no reason.

Admittedly, the pizza was really good, but was still extremely overpriced for the portion sizes you get. To spend $83 on 2 pizzas and 2 glasses of wines was a joke, especially given how poor the service was. There are many fantastic places in McLaren Vale, this isn't...
