Croissant D'Or Bakery — Restaurant in Adelaide

Have lived in the area for years, and not been. Only found this place on a whim on Google maps. So I thank everyone who had reviewed previously. This is an exceptional local hot spot. While both times I’ve been recently, they’ve closed earlier than their website says - I’m positive it’s because they’re up so early and only have a small shop front and they service a lot of the local cafes with croissants. The variety is definitely something that will keep me coming back. Coffee not so great. And they really need some cutlery. Along with needing car parking spaces. However 100% give croissants a try! My wife and i came across this bakery because it hosts the Rendezvous Continental Produce Market every 2nd Saturday from 9am until 1pm. Set in a quiet cul-de-sac in an industrial estate (strange location for it) I've only ever had the ham and cheese croissants, and they are fantastique! You can buy fresh fruit & veg at the market, as well as other French products, honey and sweets, along with "The Devotea" who also have a stall there selling real leaf teas blended by Robert Godden. Brilliant Bakery. Cracking croissants! Thick, fluffy, crusty, soft. A real treat for your croissant hole. I just picked up 2 dozen croissants from their stall at the Adelaide Farmers Market to keep up the tucker fuelled endorphins over the next few weeks, an apricot croissant for breaky and an m&m one for the kids at home. My favourite is the lamington croissant, an out of the box & out of this world invention. Looking forward to trying the choc caramel or strawberry truffle...
