Please be sure to check the expiry date on the ketchup if you’re visiting this McDonald’s. This is now the second time I’ve been given expired tomato sauce at this location, which is incredibly concerning. Food safety should be the absolute minimum standard at a global chain like McDonald’s, yet something as simple as sauce packets are not being checked properly.
I shudder to think what could have happened if I had handed the expired ketchup to my kids without noticing. Expired food products are not only unpleasant but can also pose real health risks, and the fact that this has happened more than once makes me question how seriously they are taking stock rotation and basic food safety practices.
When I raised the issue today, the manager did get involved, but I was disappointed in how the situation was handled. There was no genuine apology or acknowledgment of the seriousness of the issue—just a quick request for me to wait in the car park while they went to fetch ketchup from the back. The whole interaction felt rushed and dismissive, as if efficiency and moving the line along were more important than addressing a clear safety concern.
A simple, sincere apology would have gone a long way, as would reassurance that the expired items would be removed immediately and that steps would be taken to prevent this from happening again. Instead, I left feeling brushed off and uneasy about the standards being maintained behind the counter.
This McDonald’s really needs to tighten up its quality control and train its staff to handle complaints with a bit more care and professionalism. Until then, I strongly recommend checking every packet you’re given before consuming or giving it to...
Read moreThis McDonald's has been charging for an extra small fries on Happy Meals consistently! Today's experience was ordering 2 Cheeseburger Happy Meals in drive-through with absolutely NO extras. Continued to paying window where I was asked if correct on the screen? one meal was $4.95 and the second was $7.25. I asked why the discrepancy in price? and the girl responded saying the extra side of chips was the reason. She knew straight away with me asking about the discrepancy that I didn't order this and asked if that is correct? which I responded no, and she removed it with a quick tap on her screen. The nonsense thing is that I paid and drove to the next window, all within a few seconds, and the Meals were sitting there prepared. I can't guarantee it, and I'm sure the Meals were prepared before I had even paid, but the small fries were most likely not even in with the meal or intended to be. I've been ripped off from here numerous times, these people know what they are doing, penny pinchers, they would be paying for a wage a year doing these dodgy things. No matter how good the food or service is somewhere, if I feel like I'm being deceived or ripped off I'm not going to be happy. I can easily say without a doubt that I have been charged incorrectly tenfold over charged correctly at this McDonald's. This is one of those straw that broke the cammels back moments, hoping this hits a nerve in the system and makes a change or adds to...
Read moreVisited on Saturday 15 October 2022. Completed an online order and paid for it using Google Pay in the app then went to the drive thru for pickup. Got told by the cashier that the payment didn't work so I'd have to pay again. Surprise surprise I was charged twice. After numerous calls to the store I was told my options were to either come in so that a refund could be processed or speak to their online customer service via email, they couldn't provide me with a phone number.
After a few emails back and forth and having to provide proof of the transactions from my side (rather than actually investigating it themselves) they have said they have processed a refund. It took four days and I got the most basic apology from both the store and their online support. Not even a real acknowledgement that they stuffed up or a token offer or some free food for the inconvenience caused to the customer.
I'll never go back to this particular...
