Mi Sushi — Restaurant in Adelaide

This was one of my favourite sushi takeaways. I actually sat on the bench facing the store eating 2 x sashimi avo rolls. I saw the lady take a roll from the back of the tray and 1 from the front. Suspicious but kinda knew what was going on. 1 of the rolls was decent. The other had old mushy rice with sashimi that filled maybe half the roll with little avocado. I spat it out and the lady knew as I was sitting right in front of her. I'm someone that can eat anything, but this roll just wasn't worth it. I waited for customers to leave and approached the lady that sold it to me. I told her that the roll is old and you charged me full price. She explained it was new, but unfortunately for her I know my rice. I replied, yeah ok. After a while she said, she'd swap it for a new one. It would've been fine just to own up to it and a refund, but I didn't get one. I guess you bank on people taking it home and not realising different qualities of food. I've been a good customer for a long time. But you live and you learn.

The owner of this place, Harry, treats the staff and customers very poorly. He raises the prices of food while using cheaper ingredients and telling staff to use less meat in the sushi.

He has a surveillance camera installed just to spy on the staff and tell staffs not to take food or drinks. Imagine not being able to have a cool drink in a hot summer day because your owner doesn’t allow you to have a $2 can of coke.

He also creates different standards to different staff, where he turns a blind eye to some that doesn’t clean the sushi bar and works slowly, while pushes other hardworking people to work more, while having the same pay.

He continues to push more work and decrease working hours and adds Uber and Menulog but still have the same 3 people. He is extremely ignorant to customer feedbacks even when a customer was sick to the food, he refused to take any...

I ordered a salmon avocado roll which made me spit it out straight after taking a bite as the rice was mushy and sour. I gave the lady a $20 note for a $7 something order which she gave me a few coins back for. She only realised after I had gone back up to her and asked if the change was correct and she replied, “oh you gave me a $20 didn’t you”. This shows she knew what money I gave to her but gave me the wrong change anyways. I will not be buying from here again as the food is...
