Read moreMy wife and I when there for dinner on the 9/11/24 mainly to check out the new Reno, it looks great, nice and airy and a fresh new look, we ordered the calamari and the octopus dishes, it took a while to come out, but that's ok as it was quite busy, my octopus was quite chewy and under cooked, and the wife's calamari was wafer thin and far too much batter on it, on the next table to us was 4 young adults enjoying themselves, as they waited for their meals they played a little game of pushing the bottle tops from their bottles around on the table, after a while the tops ended up on the floor, their meals arrived, they only ate half of the food and left, the waitress cleared the table whilst another waitress cleaned the mess they left, I watched her just whipe leftovers onto the floor, I thought ok she'll be back soon with a brush and pan to pick it up, I was wrong, it was just left on the floor, I called the floor restaurant " manager" over and pointed it out to him saying he needs to address the mess left by his staff, he was very grateful and said he'd get it sorted, by the time we had finished our meal nothing had been done about the mess on the floor, ( it would only take someone to walk by and slip on the food and and a claim would be lodged) it was like you were in a fast food outlet on a weekend night, no wonder the floor staff couldn't give a rat's if they are guided by the floor manager who couldn't give a rat's, time to pick up your game is my recommendation, you have a nice venue, work smarter and people will come back, me, I won't be back and I won't recommend it to my mates, one other thing, a safety issue, the common door to the toilets needs a viewing panel, as when I came back from the gents into the restaurant I almost knocked a lady out coming to the toilets...
Read moreUPDATE: Since the renovations the place has gone downhill, only good t h ing was the renovations are nice but everything else was below average. Customer service or that lack there of, took over an hour for our meals to come outand not informed of wait when ordering, rude staff when asking about meals and wait, children running around pulling out lights, staff not in asking parents to control their children, multiple meals were incorrect or missing something. Will not be going back!!!
My uncle and was visiting from Broome and was staying at at Mick Oshea's so we originally had a booking at Mick Oshea's purely for convenience purposes but after being sat at a filthy table and told to clean it ourselves and then waiting in line for almost 30mins to order just our drinks due to incompetent staff and overbooking (which thry do ALL the time sobthey look busy) and the queue to order food flowing out the front restaurant I rang the Aussie Inn and was told they would have a table of 8 waiting for us within 15mins. When we arrived our table was clean, set and ready for us. The place itself was cool, inviting and clean unlike Mick Oshea's which was dull, hot with no air flow and unclean/cluttered. We were seated right away and able to order our drinks and meals within 20mins where the servers were extremely nice and ensured we were happy throughout our meals. I can definately say that the Aussie Inn is one of the nicest pubs in the southern area with affordably priced meals that are quality sized and absolutely delicious! The enclosed playground for the children is an added bonus in keeping the lil ones entertained whilst parents can feel safe that the children have a safe and secure place to play. Love the Aussie Inn and will definately be...
