Had the pleasure of having my birthday at the Aussie Saturday night with 20 of my closest family and friends. The new menu is one of the best so far and the food was amazing as always! Three of us shared starters of Scallops, Crab...yes CRAB arancini balls..normally it's just mushroom arancini but these guys think out the box 👌 and Oysters in Chorizo Butter 😮🤤 It was all very tasty and very well presented. The ribs for mains probably needed a bit longer just to have that fall off the bone consistency...when I order ribs I wanna pick up the bone and it slowly slides out with that sticky chew 🤤.. but was so delicious and enjoyable nonetheless and the side of little cubes of potato, rosemary and butter 🤤 soooo good! We wanted to stay on afterwards in the front bar but the bar tenders where knocking off so Kerry the Restaurant Manager, kind as always, told us no problems and Simon the Duty Manager stepped up and took over the Front Bar so we could stay, play pool and have Hamish whip us up his insanely delicious cocktails that were actually the best I've had in awhile. Just wanted to say thanks again guys for making my Birthday extra special and going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and wanted as always 🥰 we will always come back!

Food was really good, huge portion sizes. It did take a while for the food to come out, but they were busy so we understood. There was half chewed food under our table when we got there, we saw the wait staff look at it as she cleared off the table next to us, so I didn't say anything as I thought she was coming back to clean it up. She didn't though, I ended up asking for a napkin and picked it up myself. We got the chicken schnitty with Aussie topper, schnitty with the Mexican topper and the seafood quaddie- but I removed substituted prawns and squid for extra scallops. We were all really happy with the food

They advertise $10 Espresso Martini on Fridays between 8pm and 10pm, but when you order them, they charge $15 each. When you point out that their menu, their specials, their Instagram, etc, all advertise $10 each, THEY DON'T CARE! The staff are all rude about it. Won't ever be going back again and will be telling all my friends and family about it. You can't advertise a product for a particular price and then charge something different for it once ordered. I think a complaint to Consumer Affairs will also be lodged.

My wife and I when there for dinner on the 9/11/24 mainly to check out the new Reno, it looks great, nice and airy and a fresh new look, we ordered the calamari and the octopus dishes, it took a while to come out, but that's ok as it was quite busy, my octopus was quite chewy and under cooked, and the wife's calamari was wafer thin and far too much batter on it, on the next table to us was 4 young adults enjoying themselves, as they waited for their meals they played a little game of pushing the bottle tops from their bottles around on the table, after a while the tops ended up on the floor, their meals arrived, they only ate half of the food and left, the waitress cleared the table whilst another waitress cleaned the mess they left, I watched her just whipe leftovers onto the floor, I thought ok she'll be back soon with a brush and pan to pick it up, I was wrong, it was just left on the floor, I called the floor restaurant " manager" over and pointed it out to him saying he needs to address the mess left by his staff, he was very grateful and said he'd get it sorted, by the time we had finished our meal nothing had been done about the mess on the floor, ( it would only take someone to walk by and slip on the food and and a claim would be lodged) it was like you were in a fast food outlet on a weekend night, no wonder the floor staff couldn't give a rat's if they are guided by the floor manager who couldn't give a rat's, time to pick up your game is my recommendation, you have a nice venue, work smarter and people will come back, me, I won't be back and I won't recommend it to my mates, one other thing, a safety issue, the common door to the toilets needs a viewing panel, as when I came back from the gents into the restaurant I almost knocked a lady out coming to the toilets...

UPDATE: Since the renovations the place has gone downhill, only good t h ing was the renovations are nice but everything else was below average. Customer service or that lack there of, took over an hour for our meals to come outand not informed of wait when ordering, rude staff when asking about meals and wait, children running around pulling out lights, staff not in asking parents to control their children, multiple meals were incorrect or missing something. Will not be going back!!!

My uncle and was visiting from Broome and was staying at at Mick Oshea's so we originally had a booking at Mick Oshea's purely for convenience purposes but after being sat at a filthy table and told to clean it ourselves and then waiting in line for almost 30mins to order just our drinks due to incompetent staff and overbooking (which thry do ALL the time sobthey look busy) and the queue to order food flowing out the front restaurant I rang the Aussie Inn and was told they would have a table of 8 waiting for us within 15mins. When we arrived our table was clean, set and ready for us. The place itself was cool, inviting and clean unlike Mick Oshea's which was dull, hot with no air flow and unclean/cluttered. We were seated right away and able to order our drinks and meals within 20mins where the servers were extremely nice and ensured we were happy throughout our meals. I can definately say that the Aussie Inn is one of the nicest pubs in the southern area with affordably priced meals that are quality sized and absolutely delicious! The enclosed playground for the children is an added bonus in keeping the lil ones entertained whilst parents can feel safe that the children have a safe and secure place to play. Love the Aussie Inn and will definately be...
