Review of bistro only: Staff where very pleasant, We went on schnitzel night - 15 dollars for a schnitzel was a pretty good deal.. However after eating the meal - Im glad thats all I paid for it.. Very typical old school meal - processed chicken, processed ham, 50 cent jar of pasta source, with typical garden salad and your typical bulk buy chips.

Dont get me wrong, the meal was fine and for the price absolutely ok.. Im not sure if I would have paid full price for it ( think normal price was $21-$22…

No complaints at all, but not the place to go if your looking for a Stand out meal.

One thing that did stand out was the freshly made dips (for entree) - they where lovely, the only addition I could say was more pita bread - heaps of dip, but no more bread to dip it in, A shame as the dip was very nice.

I took a look around at some of the other meals - they all seemed very OKish.. So no complains but nothing special either, but great...

Unimpressed with the service and food. Where we were seated it was so hot and admittedly the air conditioning was struggling to work. We asked to move tables so we could be under a fan but the waitress looked like it was such an imposition that we asked such a simple request. It wasnt busy and there was lots of empty tables. Being a former hospitality worker for many years its your job to at least have a smile on your face and look enthusiastic when a customer requests something. My meal was the squid which was overcooked and if u can call 2 pieces of lettuce, 2 wedges of tomato, slice of cucumber anda slither of onion a salad just thrown on the plate then whoever does the salads maybe show them how to present on the plate. Surely the salad could be displayed in a small bowl on the side of the meal. I have dined here before but unfortunately my experience this time was...

If you like soups this is the place for you. I am personally a soup chaser. I call most hotels in this area everyday to ask what their soup of the day is. Tonight was cream of mushroom. Absolutely amazing. I don’t always critique positive posts because I am honest. The only thing better than that soup and the beef skewers which my partner and I shared with the Paris mash, was the friendly service by Xavier! If I was still employing at the Adelaide Casino I would make him an offer he could not refuse. Humility and a sense for good customer service is not learnt, you are raised with it. Decent family values becomes great customer service. Not those who have had an entitled childhood and who care less about customers experiences and there is one young lady here that needs to be reminded of that. Great work Xavier and to the kitchen, keep up the great work and of course...

Celebrated a birthday here and was quite disappointed with the overall experience. It looks like it could do with some TLC and the food was under par. We had a the garlic bread - very oily, chicken palmy - burnt and over cooked, and the kangaroo - very oily (as can be seen in the pic). The service was adequate, though my partner had a shot bought for her and she wasn't allowed to take it back to the table, the female behind the bar would not allow the shot to be taken back to the table.

Had a really good feed there. They had live gig that evening. Performer's voice was really good and created a nice soothing vibe. Staff are friendly. I love the portion of their condiments (sour cream & sweet chilli sauce) for the wedges. Big generous portion. Wedges are hot and crunchiness is just right. The horseradish sauce on my roast beef brisket makes the whole dish so tasty!! I really enjoyed my dinner that evening.

Good feed. Well priced. Staff very friendly. Mixed grill was absolutely brilliant. Worth the $30 easily. Buttercream chicken burger was, apparently excellent too, as was fish/chips. I like it here. Simple, but good. Easy access, always parking space, and some big screens around to watch sports too.
