Salter's Kitchen — Restaurant in Angaston

My partner and I came here for his birthday lunch. While the food was good, the service and experience was not. I ordered a pepperoni pizza, and a plain cheese / margarita pizza was served in error. By that time my partner already had his meal so we were not wanting to wait for another pizza to be cooked and just accepted it. When I paid I wasn't given a breakdown just advised the price and tap card. I ended up going back up before we left to double check the charge because it seemed really high, and turns out the server charged us for a bottle of wine, when we only purchased / received a single glass. They did refund the bottle charge, but then proceeded to charge us for the glass. If I hadn't gone back up they would have over charged me by $50 - not to mention the incorrect pizza which was still paid for and no offer of apology or compensation. Salter’s Kitchen is an absolute gem in the heart of the Barossa Valley! The food was outstanding—fresh, locally sourced ingredients crafted into delicious, flavorful dishes. We especially loved the wood-fired pizzas, which were simply divine. The wine pairing with Saltram’s incredible selection elevated the experience even further.

Magnificent Barossa restaurant & cellar door. A, somewhat, upscale restaurant with general pricing to match. However, so is the quality. Excellent meals served by very friendly staff. Inside can get a little noisy when full or nearly so. Concrete floors will always have that effect of amplifying noise. There is outside seating for fine days if you'd prefer.
