After unsuccessfully trying to go to Olive Bus a lovely lady at Info Centre recommended this place to us. She said her grandson from Brisbane raved about their egg & bacon rolls. We arrived mid morning and luckily got the last 2. We were both hesitant as not big fans of brioche rolls but let me tell you, against our instincts we ordered these delicious, tasty morsels. Best egg & bacon rolls we’ve ever eaten! Big call as we’ve downed a few. Coffee on the other hand was only just, as we like to taste the coffee with some kick. Velvet and Willow is one of the hidden gems of the Clare Valley. Their morning coffees and breakfast in the cafe were fabulous and a wonderful way to begin your day. The wine tastings in their Cellar Door featured their excellent wines and paired nicely with their cheese platter. The beautiful gardens are a wonderful retreat for the mind, body, and soul and a perfect place to relax with your wine or coffee. While traveling through the Clare Valley, I stopped by Velvet and Willow Café in Auburn, and it was an absolute delight! The café is a charming, eclectic spot tucked down, right on the main road, with a cozy room warmed by a potbelly stove and stunning gardens out back.
