I was thoroughly surprised that the Vanilla slice here was much better then my multiple award winning local bakery. I visited Balhannah en route to Melba's and am still thinking of their Vanilla slice. Their meat pies were bloody good too, in particular their Steak& cheese pie with its perfect crust and filling. But one week on and I cannot get the Vanilla slice out of my head. When you bit into it, you get a crack of the hard top shattering between your teeth that's such a unique experience. A filling and satisfying lunch stop or snack on the way through the hills. Well done Balhannah Bakery, I encourage you to keep up...

Would recommend if you are in the area or passing through. ...
