The staff here bully delivery drivers. They delay orders from online customers on purpose. I have no malicious intent at all todayâ simply want to describe the real incident of being mistreated that I experienced at this Zambrero restaurant. I am a delivery driver. Last night, when I arrived at this zambrero restaurant to pick up an order, I noticed that a delivery bag was already packed and placed on the pickup table. I walked to the pickup counter with my chiller bag handing in front. The first staff member saw me and said âHello.â I replied, âMaria please, delivery.â He turned his head to glance at the packed bag but didnât say anything, showing a cold expression, and then turned away to do something else.
So I sat down and waited for 5-10 minutes, but no one speak to me. I stood up and approached the pickup counter again. The same staff member said hello once more, and only then did he hand me the bag that had already been sitting there, packed and ready.
I asked calmly why didnât give to me when I asked earlier he said, âI didnât know what you wanted.â I said, âI clearly told you, âMaria please, delivery.â It would have taken you less than five seconds to pass me it or if youâre busy at least say something.â
After that, I walked out of the restaurant, got into my car, and was about to deliver the order. Then the unpleasant part happened:
The second staff member, an Asian-looking male in his twenties or thirties(whose attitude toward me has never been friendly â Iâve met him several times before in this restaurant), he came out of the restaurant and chased after me to my car, standing in front of my car moving his hands and saying something. I stopped the car and got out. He started questioning me:
âWhat did you say to my colleague? We need to serve our customers first. Whatâs the problem if you wait a bit longer? What did you even lose?â
I said, âIt takes less than five seconds to hand me the bag. Plus your attitude was really bad â at least say something polite, right?â Then this guy just repeated these words again and again. I was honestly shocked that he came out to argue with me like that. Iâve encountered this same staff member a few times before â every time I pick up an order, Iâm polite and use respectful language â but this chased out staff always giving me an unfriendly face, every single time, no exaggeration â this staff member is only friendly and polite to the customers inside the restaurant who pays the money in...
Read moreI recently placed an order for a Chicken Bowl and Pork Nachos, and the experience was profoundly disappointing. The chicken arrived with an unmistakable âfrozen-iceâ aftertaste, as though it had been insufficiently thawed before being heated. Even worse, the pork was literally hard-frozen in placesâclearly never brought up to a safe, palatable temperature.
Itâs apparent that the kitchen staff did not microwave the proteins properly. Relying on a single-point thermometer reading is not a valid method for assessing whether a piece of meat has been evenly cooked. True food safety and quality control demand that temperature be measured at the thickest, midpoint of the protein, where cold spots tend to hide. Had the staff performed this simple, industry-standard check, I would have avoided biting into a dangerously undercookedâand frankly inedibleâchunk of meat.
To make matters worse, when I brought these issues to the ownerâs attention, I was met with outright denial of any problem with food quality or safety procedures. Rather than acknowledging the flaw in reheating practices, the owner dismissed my concerns and defended their process without offering any explanation or apology. This unwillingness to accept responsibility not only undermines customer trust but also raises serious questions about their commitment to basic food safety standards.
I wouldnât raise this issue if it were a one-off inconvenience, but discovering a rock-hard piece of frozen pork in my nachos is both unacceptable and unsafe. I urge management to immediately review and strengthen your reheating procedures: ensure thorough, even heating by checking core temperatures properly, and prevent raw or undercooked food from reaching customers. Until these fundamental steps are takenâand until the owner acknowledges and addresses these deficienciesâI cannot, in good conscience, recommend your...
Read moreFood was good but staff need to be trained in what vegan means Twice now I have ordered and each time the staff have had no idea what goes in the vegan nachos and try to put cheese straight on corn chips (havenât asked me whether I want beans or cauliflower for the filling)
also the staff member grabbed dairy cheese and then with the same gloves grabbed the vegan cheese, this risks cross contamination, especially for people who canât have dairy like myself. I love zambreros but I donât want to feel like I have to watch staff like a hawk to make sure itâs made correctly - simple training...
