I recently had the pleasure of visiting this winery that left me in awe of its breathtaking setting and close proximity to town. The autumn hues painted a stunning backdrop, setting the stage for a memorable experience. The winery's location was just perfect, not too far out of town, making it easily accessible for a day trip or a weekend getaway. The gastronomic adventure that unfolded was simply delightful. The food served at the winery was undeniably delicious, though slightly on the expensive side. The quality and creativity of the dishes made up for the price, and each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors that left my taste buds wanting more. What truly made this winery shine, however, was its remarkable staff. The team went above and beyond, offering expert recommendations on dishes that perfectly complemented the wines. They exhibited extraordinary patience as we took our time deciding, given the multitude of enticing options available. Their warm and attentive service added an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience, making us feel truly valued as guests. In summary, this winery is a hidden gem that combines a gorgeous setting, delectable food, and outstanding service. While the prices may be a tad high, the overall experience is well worth it, leaving you with memories that will linger long after your visit.

Overall the winery + restaurant is beautiful. When we were there they had the main dining hall setup for a wedding dinner that night, the setup was very grand and beautiful, due to that all diners had to dine at the Alfresco area, which was beautiful facing the vineyard, yet all the glass windows/doors were all closed, made it rather stuffy and noisy with everything trapped inside. The staffs were friendly and helpful, however, the food service between Entrée and Main were quite long, especially with a little kid at the table, she began to lose her patience. We were there for more than 1.5hrs for a two course lunch. It was unexpected that their wine list didn't have much of their own wine to choose for pairing. We were really hoping to see how they can pair their wine with the food on the menu. The food was a bit up and down, we had some amazing Entrée, with the Cauliflower highly recommended and the Slate plate was a delight! However, the Mains didn't live up to the standard set, the Seafood pasta arrived just warm, which degraded the taste quite a bit. I ordered the special of the day, Lamb three ways, which was rather bland and dry, and it felt like three separate dishes, rather than a cohesive dish, that's rather disappointing for a special of the day. The kid's fish and chip, where the fish was WAY overcooked, it was so dry that the three year old didn't want to finish it. I really hope that our experience was not the norm, as we believe the restaurant should be high standard, but maybe they were preparing for the big wedding that night, and hence, have affected that lunch dining experience.

This is one fabulous place to enjoy an afternoon with friends dining and enjoying the ambience, especially in winter with the fire going. The menu is quite delicious and different to other wineries in the Southern Highlands and the service is superb. My friend and I have been to many of the restaurant/vineyards around the Southern Highlands over the years and found that they have either not being able to keep up their original quality or have gone down the intense wedding path to the detriment of the a la carte customer. It is a horrendously expensive business running a top class venue like Centennial and I know weddings are their pay packet... I used to be a bridal designer...but I just hope it doesn't take over like another well known venue which literally hurries the patrons out. Centennial is pure magic and we can't wait for our next lunch when I'm down from Sydney again at the end of August. Many thanks to Surya and your team.

Quite the lovely setting, but the food was hit or miss. For mains, the seafood soup and squid ink pasta were rather fishy and bland. Lamb was alright. Best was the pork cutlet, would recommend that one as it was actually good. The seared scallops for starters and the apple fritters for dessert were also very good. The scallops weren't fishy and the cauliflower puree & crispy bacon bits complemented them nicely. The apple fritters was very flavorful and had a lovely combination of caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream. The creme brulee was quite nice as well and had a citrusy scent, and the coconut biscuit that accompanied it was fragrant.

Well we thought the restaurant was reasonably good. Good outlook, friendly service and good food. We enjoyed the tasting slate and our mains a pork cutlet and beef fillet were excellent. The vineyard wines we drank were enjoyable. A couple of disappointing things unfortunately - very noisy an echo space so we could barely hear ourselves talking and we couldn’t easily hear the waiters. The side of cauliflower wasn’t really what we expected as it was done in a batter and not really all that tasty - a simple white sauce would have worked so much better. Really the noise was awful and that effected our experience negatively.
