KFC Huntlee — Restaurant in Branxton

Had a very lacklustre meal on Halloween night 2023. They were absolutely flogged on this night, with cars lined up down the street and people flocking inside - but that still doesn't excuse my complaints.

We waited 45 minutes for our food - with hungry and tired kids after Halloween - this was absolute torture and really put a dampener on what had been a great night. However, the wait time is not why they lose stars.

I'll wait 45 minutes, even for fast food, if the place is really busy and the staff look stressed - but what I won't cop is waiting 45 minutes and receiving a messed up order. The longer I wait, the less tolerable I am of mistakes. That's just the way it is - sadly, the more busy a place this, the more likely they are to make mistakes.

We had a kid who won't eat mayo, so we requested a burger without it. They forgot - so he refused to eat his burger. Thankfully, we got given another one - but by then, the kid was over it.

We asked for sauces - they were forgotten.

We asked for four burgers and were given three.

One of the burgers we were given was cold.

We weren't given drinks automatically, I had to ask for them.

Overall, one of the worst KFC experiences I've had in my almost 40 years of devouring...

Normally my experience here is 80% good. Usually always one thing rarely 2. Sometimes nothing! 80% of the time though something is bad, cold chips, long wait, wrong drink, missing sauces. The usual suspects for 15 year olds at their first minimum wage so I can't really get mad and it's always fixed if I grab it in time or make a note to remind them.

Only reason I've gone 3 stars over 4 is that tonight my fiance drove through to grab a quick 2nd dinner for me (yes... I have hollow legs) and they got the drink wrong but they ALSO only half filled the go bucket I ordered. Saving grace is the chips we're actually hot AND had salt on them, something that become a rarity at every fast food drive through.

I live only a few mins always so I suspect my review may change if the store does but for now, 3 stars is...

Unhappy with the customer service I was provided with. I was heading through the drive through on my motorcycle (my only means of transport) as the drive through is a much easier option so I don't have to take off glasses, helmet earplugs... and said hi to the lady at the window and let her know my order number. She states that "We don't serve motorcycles through the drive through" and closed the window in my face. I have gone to many other KFC's and other drive through establishments and they don't mind at all with motorcyclists in the drive through. I felt it was very disrespectful and rude that this response was given with no explanation as to why or even an apology for the inconvenience.
