My wife and I have eaten here before and thought it was overpriced, but that was ~3 years ago, so we thought we'd give it another shot.

We walked in at 4:35pm (I know because, unlike most other venues that allow you to check in on a website, I had to download an app to do so which is a pain in itself) and sat down.

After looking at the menu for ~5mins, we had a question regarding whether the burgers come with sides, as they are show with chips & salad in the pictures but the menu description says nothing about it. We walked up to the bar in the dining area, I noticed the cook out of the corner of my eye and saw him glance at us before walking out of sight so he didn't have to help us. We then stood at the bar for ~6minutes with no one there before deciding we'd rather go to the shops and buy some steaks to cook at home.

It shouldn't be possible for a patron, especially in light of venues having to enforce the Covid check-ins, to be inside a building for almost 15mins without seeing a member of staff at all.

Whilst I can't make comment about the new menu, I can say 100% the service is very lacking and it just looks like management is cutting staff to save money after they've introduced the table ordering system.

If you wouldn't go through self serve at the supermarket, why am I required to serve myself at the pub when I'm meant to be sitting down relaxing...

Eight (including a wee one) of us headed here for a quick lunch last week. Sadly the atmosphere is not compelling; the chairs and table were sticky and crumb-y, and service was at a minimum. One unhappy chappy came to do a quick swipe of aforesaid chairs and table after our request to clean them. Ordering is at the counter as per. Food was promptly served tho' no 'service with a smile'. I think we mostly enjoyed our food: we had two calamaris, one steak sandwich, one ravioli, one burger with extra wedges, and two pumpkin and halloumi salads. Hubby said he only got a few small cubes of the pumpkin and of the halloumi, so he felt this was a stingy serve. He also said the wedges were the best thing on the table - the little one certainly enjoyed them. My calamari was well-seasoned and tender, with a helping of fresh salad and chips. The ravioli disappeared very quickly, and the steak sandwich and burger were well-received. This is not necessarily a venue I would hurry back to, but I can see that for families after a well-priced meal, this place could be a winner. There is a play area for the kids just outside which is handy, and of course plenty of parking (always a...

If you want decent food, even adequate service, clean water and to not be accused of theft. DON'T EAT HERE. Worst Sunday meal ever. Staff were incompetant and rude. Honestly why bother asking what table someone sits at if you're simply going to send the food somewhere else (there were only 2 tables with patrons - they sent it to a table no one was sitting at). Food arrived cold with an explanation as to why it took so long but no apology.

Then our table was accused of stealing the complimentary water jugs- when they were clearly on the table, we were simply asking for another one (as we had a large table). Though why we did that I'm not so sure, the water tasted as though it had been left uncovered in a dusty room.

Staff insisted on clearing the table before everyone had even finished eating. Who knows why they weren't busy or in need of the tables.

Im assuming this incompetance is a regular occurence as they make you pay before you've had your meal (my guess is most people were refusing after such terrible service.)

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY - TERRIBLE SERVICE, POOR ATMOSPHERE. WILL NEVER...

We have had the very kindest and best service ever at this lovely Pub I have a client with dementia I like to take out for some time in the world and this was a lovely world we entered into We were greeted and assisted so cheerfully by BIMAL ... as my client worked through her challenge with the steps he cheered her on and was ready to catch her if she slipped At every stage of our meal we were met with the right balance of care and space I cannot recommend this place enough The food serving was generous, juicy and delicious I have been to so many places with my client This lovely place was the nicest all because of how kind BIMAL was with us and all his clients His floor management was very professional I am an ex hospitality and a barista from Byron Bay so I am reasonably qualified to estimate floor management ... Thank you Bonny View and Bimal for taking a load off and making our lunch relaxing and enjoyable
