So glad other people have had a good experience here, and I definitely see this place as being enjoyable — unfortunately I had a negative experience with one of the staff which has left a sour image of this place in my mind. Firstly this staff member closed the door in our face as we were going in, which was a bit ??? but moving on. Although she had given us the okay to order a meal which we then paid for, she came back quickly to say that actually they were missing an ingredient. Which is fine, but as we chose an alternative (which was cheaper) she made no offer to refund the difference. As we waited to ask her for a refund she just kept trying to shoo us out, telling us “we’ll bring things out to you”. Speaking of which, a burger came out before a muffin which was in the counter ready. There was like a 4 minute wait time between them which just seemed a bit odd. Besides that, prices here are a little on the steeper side as well, an average meal being around $21-25 AUD with their juices and smoothies ranging from $7-$9 My little sausage muffin you see below cost $8.9. But happy to support a smaller more local business, provided their servers could carry some decorum (which the other server totally did!) All in all, I would say come when it’s quiet, but not near their closing time. Check if they have the ingredients for the meal you want before you pay, and if you can sense a staff member’s having not such a great day, it’s best to just stay out of their way.

Was really looking forward to coming to this place as some local friends of mine spoke really highly of it... but we were all disappointed... first they asked our group if we had booked when we arrived (they dont usually take bookings) we said we hadn't as they dont usually take bookings so the waitress told us that they dont usually but occasionally when the owners felt like it they did like on rainy days or just when they felt like it... they then crammed our 5 adults plus high chair onto a table for 4 and when we asked if we could move another table over to use they said no although no one else used that table the entire time we were here. Then when it came to ordering one of the younger chef's was extremely rude when one of us enquired about what nuts were in a certain dish (she has an allergy to some nuts) he swore at the server (thinking the customer couldn't hear him) and refused to take the time to say what nuts were in that dish. The food was average (especially the pancakes which looked beautiful but tasted like cardboard) but came out fast and the coffee being Campos was good. Would we return here? Probably not any time soon. Would not reccomend if you have any allergies or intolerances.

We dined at 1:00 on a Sunday afternoon - they closed at 2:00. There were a number of tables outside and one or two inside. We were greeted warmly at the door immediately and seated outside straight away. It was a comfortable atmosphere. We ordered using the all. The menu included all day breakfasts and all day lunch options, as well as a wide range of drinks - alcoholic, soft drinks, shakes, coffees etc. I had an iced latte and my beautiful wife had a rose. Both were good. They arrived very quickly. The food also came quickly and as the plates rounded the corner I was very impressed by the size and presentation of the food. My wife had salmon and potato cakes and she enjoyed hers immensely. I ordered a side of bacon with my steak burger and this was all very generous. The chips were crunchy and golden and the steak was tender and cooked perfectly. There was halloumi on it and a heavenly jam. It almost pulled me up such was its size. It was fabulously delicious. The service was very attentive and personable. Well worth a visit.

I usually wouldn’t post something like this, but I feel it’s important to share what happened at Rabbit Hole Café (Seven Hills) recently to ensure others are aware. I ordered two separate beverages, one following the other, after returning the first due to contamination. Both of these beverages contained small pieces of plastic. When I brought this to the attention of staff and senior management, I expected a sincere apology and a swift resolution. Instead, I was met with resistance, delay in refund, and eventually, an attempt to shift the focus by accusing me of upsetting their staff — rather than addressing the very real health risk their product posed. What’s more troubling is that a key decision-maker at the café chose not to take accountability but instead doubled down again, trying to minimize the seriousness of the incident and deflect blame entirely. This isn’t just poor customer service — it’s a failure to acknowledge a potential safety hazard in their hygiene handling standards. Before any friends or defenders rush in to excuse this behavior, consider this: had this plastic been swallowed by a child — possibly your child — it could have caused choking or serious harm. Speaking up may have spared someone from a much worse outcome. Food / Beverage safety and accountability should never...

We had a really positive experience at Rabbit Hole Café, even though our visit was interrupted by an entitled spanish man with his baby and his equally entitled pug. As we approached, his pug was staring our two large dogs down. He told us before we even walked onto the road that he couldn’t pick up his dog because he was holding his baby. Out of courtesy, we moved our dogs onto the road to avoid a confrontation — but then his pug charged at us through the bushes, and that’s when his verbal tirade started.

When will some small dog owners learn? Picking up a dog in that moment is actually the worst thing they could do around bigger dogs, and letting it charge while shouting at strangers is even worse.

Thankfully, the staff were absolutely wonderful. The young ladies quickly came over to check if we were okay, and other customers even came up to us afterwards to offer support. Before leaving, I also spoke to the manager and one of the staff, and their kindness really made the difference.

And of course, the food and service were fantastic — fast, hot, and delicious.

Thank you again to the whole team for turning what could have been a ruined outing into a positive experience. We’ll...
