East Charlton Hotel — Restaurant in Charlton

After an awesome weekend of The Adelaide Crows mighty victory and The Colliwobbles mighty Choke 🤣🤣🤣 the only way for us to celebrate was hitting the road for a Pot and Parma . Our Parma Quest today brought us to The East Charlton Hotel and sadly 1 hr in to lunch time we are the only patrons in the front bar . The once heart of most country towns their local pub most are really struggling to keep their doors open which is heartbreaking . If you do have a favourite pub , support them even its just dropping in for a beer it truly could be the difference in keeping their doors open . On arrival today we were met by a really happy lady behind the bar full of smiles and great banter . The pub itself its an oldie but a goodie the walls are full of local memories giving it a real warm feeling . Now onto the Parma it was bloody delicious and only $22 and the beer was ice cold and went down a real treat 😋 . Definitely worth a visit when you are in...

The bistro was fully booked so was offered a seat in the main bar. Very uncomfortable high chairs and very unstable table. Was only offered main menu no specials and no bar meals. So had to pay full price for bistro meal in main bar while the footy was on O.O. Staff were friendly. Meal came out promptly. Tasted very nice but the size was very small. Had small Kiev (not real size with bone in) the chicken was about 5 mm thick. The salad was nice and made up of a few different things but the serve was also small (3 pieces of pasta 2 bits of greens and a nice grain mixx).. Add 11 chips to the mix and that's the meal. Yep 11 chips n not the big ones either, could not believe my eyes. $26 rip off maybe a $20. Others were in the same boat as bistro was full..they too payed full price and got small meals. The only thing that looked worth the money was the pasta. Tasted nice but way over priced. Bistro prices in main bar...

Called into this hotel for hot meal on a trip ,,yes bar staff was friendly thats were it ended..ordered lunch with meals that couldnt go wrong..how wrong were we..sweet n sour chicken well was uneatable and had been nuked before serving it up.two chunks of chicken were still frozen.one piece full of ground up bones..DIDNT EAT Steak chips n gravy..steak was somewhere between blue and chewy.not to mention cold.once again.CRAP.. Ordered a coffee with meal never arrived even after waiting 20mins after meal,walked out vowing never to come back.. Sadly you cant give a minus star...
