Stopped for some on the road grub and after reading the reviews about their pies was excited. We got a Cornish pastie, Ned Kelly and Plain Pie after the staff stated it was their most popular. The pies were a standard meat and gravy with a thin pastry crust so it kind of falls apart so you have to eat it quickly. The pastie was tasty with chunks of veggies. Nice freshly made pies in a range of flavours. The vanilla slice was very sweet though. Great stop off when travelling between Adelaide and Melbourne. Don't make the mistake I did of parking on the road (opposite side). As the lady behind the counter told me it's a no standing zone. Sure when when I got into my car I saw the no standing sign a few metres...

Good country bakery. I wonder if the country women’s association teaches these bakers how to do pies and sausage rolls. I got one of both. The sausage rolls are unlike anything I get in the city - not oily, yummy pastry, really fine texture of the sausage roll & delicious good quality...
