Matt’s Bakery Cafe — Restaurant in Crookwell

This place is awesome! We stopped in really because we couldn't find any public toilets, which to our surprise, they had. Not only were they a bakery with toilets but they were spotlessly clean toilets! Then, when we saw what the had on they're menu, we couldn't resist staying for something to eat and we were not disappointed. My husband and I both had the curry pies wbich were delicious, then we had to have dessert which was the apple turnovers, amazing! The staff were so friendly even though they were flatout and we will definitely be adding this place to our lists of best stops.....

Where to start? This is a must if you are passing through Crookwell or just make a point of visiting Crookwell to visit this wonderful bakery/cafe. Their pies, breads, sandwiches/rolls, and cakes are absolutely amazing. As for their coffee - I have never had a coffee as good as this anywhere and I've had a lot of coffee over the years. Walked in at 12:30pm on a chilly winters day looking forward to something warm for lunch. The only thing on offer was a couple of small looking pasties, or a selection of cold sandwiches. Apparently all the meat pies were still warming up and not ready for sale. Considering lunch time occurs around the same time each day, it's not the most clever way to run a cafe if you want to stay in business. Ended up...
