My Kit Kat Cafe & Pizza and Takeaway — Restaurant in Devonport

After desperately craving fish & chips for some time, my partner & I called in for a piece of flake each, and chips, which we were planning to enjoy by the beach. Well, the chips were good (possibly a little oily but that's ok). But the so called 2 pieces of 'flake', which we unfortunately paid $17 for, were the most disgusting, flavourless, oily, processed, reconstituted inedible mush we've had the misfortune to purchase - ever! YUK YUK YUK!!! (Rubbish bin was probably happy). I'm not sure on which planet anyone can imagine this is in any way ok! It would be far better to say Flake is unavailable than try to pass this rubbish off on unsuspecting victims. Seriously! So, so disappointed and will be spreading the word! In saying this, the girls working at the time were lovely, but the owner needs to take a good hard look at his 'business model'. Yes, they may sell a lot of this garbage each week, but my guess would be next to no repeat customers as they are probably predominantly Spirit...

Working down the road and I thought to myself I'll grab something to eat, boy was that the mistake of the year..... picked up a choccie milk and a burger to my surprise the girl behind the counter said that'll be $17.. I was took back cause i thought I asked for 1 burger not 3, but I was hungry so I let it slide thinking wow if it's that dear it must be a hell of a burger! The greasy slimeball that met me was something else, I dunno how long it'd been sitting in the shop for but I daresay it'd been a few moons, the inedible slop I was presented with was hiding no secrets as I could see it before I opened the bag as the grease had made its packaging into a 2 way window, so as I sit here with a heavy heart (because the 2 mouthfuls I got through raised my cholesterol by 300%) I would say to anyone who is thinking of going here maybe just cross the bridge and find something that you don't have to get a mortgage for for your morning smoko. So many times here and always dissapointed with the food. Its either over cooked or under cooked and they use cheap nasty oil and tastes like its never cleaned. Only nice thing i have to say is staff is nice . Go to grab and go much better quality food there . I am no troll i am a local east devonport person who had every right to voice my thoughts after talking to alot people in east myself i am not only one who thinks this business is not doing well . Been in few times to see its got any better and no still the same awful food . And oil should be cleaned at least every 2 days not 4 . And while most staff is polite and very nice which if only good thing about it there is one staff member whom looks like they are on hard core drugs and it is so obvious that they are no denying it...
