Affectionately known in our house as 'The Fookster,' this establishment is coming up on 30 years in business, which suggests that they are doing something right. Prices have noticeably gone up in recent times, but you get what you pay for. The cash discount has varied over time, but is currently 10% discount on pick-up orders over $40. While they don't do a char kwai teow, the char kuen teow is usually spot on. The shallot cakes are something one doesn't see everywhere. The Shredded Pork with Vegetables Wearing a Hat is probably more impressive on a plate than in a take-away container. I really appreciate the 'No M.S.G. added on request.' They cook in vegetable oil, or sometimes canola.

New to Canberra from the asian food capital of Australia, Darwin. Thought we'd try the local. Yeah not real good. Ordered the chicken satay sticks. Burnt. Inedible. Dry. No stay sauce. Crispy chicken was a schnitzel and the pepper sauce was watery. Ordered vegitarian chow mien. Tasted burnt and greasy. Daughter loved the vegitarian spring rolls so there's that. Sweet and sour pork was as expected. Had better chinese at a regional Country town food Court.

Chinese restaurant and take away In Flory. They have a great Deep fried Duck roll with Peking Duck Wrap with hoisin sauce. This it the best meal you should to try. Another one we always order is Crispy noodles Chicken Chow mein. You should not miss out 😀😀

Our first time eating here and it most certainly won't be our last.

We enjoy a good Chinese feed, and particularly in a place where we can hear each other.

After having been regulars to Yat Ban Tong, this is a wonderful change!

Tonight, I feel they may have been understaffed. Our waiter welcomed us to our table. While he may have been the only one on the floor, we were astounded at his level of efficiency. Every customer was well attended to, the phone rang off the hook and was always answered. The multiple orders for takeaway were served promptly, but not at the neglect of us who were dining in.

As for the food - all of the flavours were spot on. Garlic prawns : possible too much garlic Sweet and sour pork : I wanted more! Chicken and cashew : magnificent. Chinese broccoli in oyster sauce : now, this was curious to us. We are accustomed to receiving mostly stalks and asking for a better serving. Tonight, however, there was so much leafy greens that we were quite surprised. And we devoured it!

Thank you for the most pleasant Chinese meal we've had in a good while. Can't wait to go back. I recommend this place to all Canberrans and beyond. You'll be...

Very disappointed, loyal weekly customers for years!! Sadly tonight we have decided to find a new Chinese restaurant.

Years ago it was good, now it's gradually deteriating, food now seems to be bland, overpriced, not cooked properly also rude service, delivery too long.

I'm starting to guess why we tipped these people for so long. My partner has always recommended this place highly, the disappointment on his face tonight after spending quite a bit on dinner was very upsetting. They know him very well and treated him terribly when he picked up the meal.

It's not even edible, it's not cooked, he would love to go throw it at there door. But that's just not him it's already in the bin with two mouthfulls missing. My combination short soup is terrible!! Wontons aren't cooked and floury, it's filled with broccoli and wontons, it's meant to be combination!! Especially with an $18.80 price tag!! My partner is now feeling not well.

Fook king, will be going elsewhere thanks for making up our minds, you have now lost more then...

Worse Chinese Takeaway ever. We ordered from them tonite and received the order late as i had to phone then up to see what was going on with our order and we had to wait another 15 mins to the 1hr that were waiting for home delivery service. We finally got our order paid for it and then i notice we only got half our order. I phoned up king Fook to tell em about the order and getting charged full price for things we didn't receive. i talk to a guy that works there and he was making out we got everything. The Guy was getting rude to me about the order problem and then i just told him we ain't going to get from them ever again and hanged up as he had me waiting on the phone for 10 mins before calling me a lie. We have been getting from this place for the last year and have never had any problems, Until tonite. I recommend finding another place that treats customers alot better then King Fook. That ...
