I recently brought an elderly friend to this cafe which is very close to the nursing home he is in. It turned out to be a great find with both indoor and outdoor seating and Covid safe procedures in place. The staff all seemed happy and friendly which gave the place a lovely warm vibe. My frail friend was able to manoeuvre around with his wheelie walker and staff were eager to accommodate him. The coffee was good and my brunch was delicious! The carrot and walnut cake was apparently excellent. The cafe owners support local producers which is a plus. No table service - order at the counter. Our orders came out promptly despite it being a busy time - there seemed to be plenty of staff. So nice to have somewhere nearby to the nursing home to take my dear friend! Will definitely return!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😃👍 Update- I have returned with my friend several times and we have had the same pleasant experience. The kitchen closes at 2pm which has been the only disappointment but you can still order coffee and cake until...

edited after 2 years of U&Co being a local

U & Co is an incredibly friendly establishment, the charming staff are always helpful, and will make you feel at home.

However, it is often a cause for frustration. The food is alright, but a little overpriced and poorly named for what it is. Their burgers are definitely just sandwiches, not burgers. Their kitchen is also regularly closed mid-lunchtime. 2pm is a bit of a late lunch, but I have been to U&Co on several occasions at what I considered a reasonable lunch time (1:45, even once at 1pm) - only to find the kitchen closed.

The muffins at U&Co are amazing, possibly the best in Canberra. As a big fan of muffins, the quality and consistency of their muffins (and the creative flavours) is has kept them relevant for me.

They also seem to always be playing Sky News on the wall-mounted TVs... I don't know why that would be the channel of choice.

If you need a feed or a cuppa in the Kaleen area, you can't go wrong with U & Co - as long as...

I’m a little upset. I throughly enjoy the u&co and have never had anything bad to say. Today though I’m not happy. I arrived with my family and mother at 1:45/1:50 ish…. There was only 2 clean tables outside that would not be able to seat us so we began to clean up one of the other bigger tables. We walked into the cafe at I assume 2 o’clock on the dot or 1 minute to as we stopped and had a Quick Look in the fridge for a drink, then turned to the counter to order. They girl behind the counter told us that the kitchen was closed. I asked what time the kitchen shut. They said 2pm. The time was 2:01. Next time I will jump straight into ordering and won’t help out by cleaning your tables.

You saw us cleaning your tables, did you assume we were just wanting to sit for a chat? I would have liked to of been informed that the kictchen “was closing in 10 minutes” when we...

The best place to be... for a delicious breakfast with fantabulous hospitality. Me and my cousin went yesterday morning for having breakfast. We ordered the hangover wrap and hot chocolate and latte. We were surprised to see the discount provided by the staff. It was so kind and courteous of him. The hangover wrap was out of the world, a unique one and I've never seen it anywhere else. Bacon, egg, hashbrown wrap... and it was super yummmm.. The way they presented was awesome. Recommend everyone to try out this dish and share their reviews. And last but not the least, the whole menu there is fully customisable. How wonderful that could be?

I can see why this place is so popular and why it has good ratings. Magnificent service with a smile, great coffee (no wonder people go out of their way), our orders come out quickly and still hot. The three of us ladies from the country were all impressed with this little place! The owner/manager never stops moving, great banter, customer service, attention to detail & offerings. He clearly has great leadership skills! Although we are not local, we'd definitely come again next time we're in Canberra. 10/10 Highly recommend 👌 good job, love your work!
