Great cafe located in the local suburban shops of Watson. This place is a little gem, offering limited indoor seating though an abundance of covered outdoor seating, catering for 2 through to large wooden bench tables for 8. There is no table service. You order at the front counter indoors where you can be tempted by Portugese tarts, muffins, generously sized orange and lime tarts and large cakes. Menu includes breakfast items such as the usual bacon and egg rolls, to healthier style options such as the pumpkin bread with soy and honey pepita or venture into the Buddha bowl for something different. There are lunch options and an extensive drinks list on the back of the menu. Coffee, teas, juices, protein shakes, iced drinks. It's all there. There also a few daily specials that may include teriyaki salmon on Asian style slaw, and chicken san choy bao. You might need a big appetite or just return a few times to sample different aspects of the menu. There are several bike racks out the front to park your bikes, if you decide to ride there. Plenty of car parking available also. A bus route also runs nearby.

May 2025 A great experience this morning for an eggs benny and a brewed chai. My daughter ordered the fried chicken burger and it was too spicy but they very kindly remade it for her. We very much appreciated this. She also had the cookies and cream milkshake and loved it. Good atmosphere with great tunes, lots of different seating arrangements. Very kind and helpful staff who checked in on us and made sure we were happy. Recommend. The only thing, which actually gave us a giggle, was the 1/4 bottle of water and glass on the table which was there before we were. It persisted through our meal and was the last thing to be removed from the table. They obviously thought it was ours. A great range of sweet baked goods in the fridge and bakery onsite to buy bread, as well as house made jars of jam and chutney. Great service, great food and a pleasant stop. June 2025 update I love the option of 'volcanically hot' in addition to the 'extra hot' option on the drinks. The volcanically hot jumbo sized oat milk half sweetness chai latte hit the spot! The meals were absolutely delicious.

Poor service and over priced food. I’d heard such great things about Knox, especially in relation to brunch. I went for dinner this evening and was extremely disappointed. A group of 5 of us attended on a Saturday evening. Naturally we attempted to book a table, but they don’t do bookings for less than 6 people, despite being a reasonably small establishment. Upon arriving at 5:50 it was quite busy and as you come in the door you awkwardly move through the queue of people waiting to order their food from the counter. There was no member of staff greeting customers as they came through the door or guiding them to an appropriate table which is often customary and useful at busy cafes nowadays. Instead you’re left to fend for yourself awkwardly standing half in the queue. Upon a nice couple leaving a larger table for us we managed to find a seat. The dinner menu wasn’t vast but I was concerned. Pizza and burgers. There was quite an extensive alcohol selection too which I didn’t sample. Instead I went for a chicken burger ($22) and a milkshake ($8). These are definitely expensive prices for these items at a cafe. I was expecting a lot from the milkshake. Unfortunately I was disappointed and received one about half the size of a usual milkshake for about 25% more money. The burger itself wasn’t great either. Not bad but definitely more on the $16 side than what I paid. Some members of staff were lovely while others a little more difficult to converse with. I had heard great things about Knox and was saddened with to find it so disappointing. Probably a nice spot for a drink after work but I definitely would not recommend it as a dinner...

This place came recommended so thought I’d check it out. I ordered through the QR code, all seemed easy enough. The coffee came quick and was nice. I sat near the kitchen, so could see the food ready up on the counter, ready to be run to customers. I saw my burger and chips get put up under the heat lamp. I watched multiple waitresses walk straight passed it multiple times, not one even so much as looking to grab it and deliver to the table. I then saw multiple other orders go up, only then a waitress started to attend to them. However, they kept pushing my burger to the back, and taking out all the other larger orders which were made after mine! It took 16 minutes before they brought my burger to the table. 16 Minutes of the burger and chips sitting under that heat lamp! My chips were soggy by this point, so I said something to the waitress (older woman with an accent). She proceeded to argue ā€˜no, there’s no way your order has been sitting here that long’ to which I responded stating I am sitting here watching it and looking at my clock! She huffed and took the plate away, then re appeared 3 minutes later with my order, not even apologising for the wait. Very disappointed in the service as the food and coffee is great. This lady needs a lesson in...
