Railway Hotel — Restaurant in Dunolly

After waiting 1.5 hours for a take away for 2 people "apparently" our order was given to someone else. We were offered a free drink as recompense then waited another 45;minutes for our order to come. Also bought 2 bottles of wine from thes the same establishment and a request to take a bottle into the beer garden while we waited.considering the time we were waiting and the request was refused by the publican in an extremely rude manner. The publican was rude and dismissive and very unfriendly. Once the order was received the food was way beyond the food standard expectations. The nachos was like corn chips glued with super glue, the chips pale and soggy and the vegetable spring rolls with no vegetables. We were so hungry we started eating in the car. Got to our place of residence and threw all away except spring rolls. A complaint was made directly to the hotel and the response was they were so busy. Not good enough. Took dad for his birthday and was extremely impressed by this good ole country pub. The food was fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. The salad that comes with the meal was honestly amazing and probably the best I've eaten anywhere. The who was working (im sorry I didn't get ur name )was just lovely super friendly and so happy. Lovely cosy hotel I had a great chicken parma at country prices some $5/6 less than in the city of Melbourne hope the prices stay like that. One complaint....
