Absolutely disgusted with the “service” at this McDonald’s. When my child cut themselves on equipment in McDonald’s earlier this year they were refused a Band-Aid twice by workers. I lodged a complaint and received a follow up call from the manager with an apology
But it seems the issues with bad service runs deep. We stopped to claim some of our McDonald’s freebies. I ordered a McFlurry on the app - walked in to find it sitting unsupervised on the counter where anyone could have interfered with it. My daughter had a small frozen coke monopoly win - she got that. I had in my hand a small McCafé drink - I was refused. Why? Well the workers didn’t actually bother to communicate that directly with me. Apparently I’m meant to understand their vague conversation with each other that some screen issue or computer issue had occurred. Now if I was planning to pay for something I would have understood - but I was claiming a voucher - that was in my hand - that they could have just made the small hot chocolate and processed it afterwards Yes I was angry and annoyed because while my kids each ended up with something I had nothing. Nothing but terrible service from young workers who can’t even be bothered explaining a situation to a customer. So it’s unlikely I’ll get to claim my voucher now - I feel more annoyed as over a month ago we did a large order and got 1 Monopoly ticket in total from the same store. A...
Read moreSlack service, didn't even tell you that once you finally figured out how to make your own order, with no help from the staff, that you have to pay for it first at the service counter, before they make your order, which you can't do at the spot where you place your own order, apparently you have to then wait in line to then pay for your order, then they will make your order. What the.......No help from the staff, no way of paying for your order once you do it yourself and no information to line up and pay for your order, then wait until it's made. VERY SLACK STAFF, VERY SLACK. We come from Adelaide and when we go into any McDonald's stores, you can either order and pay for your order at a face to face service counter all at once, or place your own order and pay for it via the order screens which is easy to understand and use, then you wait once for your order to be ready. After initially placing our order, with no means to pay for it, we just waited for a call up to pay and collect our order once it was ready. 20 mins later, another person inquired about their order, only to find theirs wasn't made either, as they haven't lined up to pay for it after placing their order on the screens. Never going back there, we didn't even bother about our order and went to the OTR and had an awesome egg and bacon roll and coffee there! The staff at OTR were Not rude like the McDonald's staff, and they were busy,...
Read moreWorst service experience I've ever had. Waited 40 minutes from start of line-up at drive through to getting served. When we finally got to the service window, they'd lost our online order.
To finally receive our order, my partner and I had to: give the order code several times show the phone with the order in the app to an employee check our online banking and confirm to staff we'd paid for it (pretty sure you have to pay in the app for online orders) locate and show to another employee the confirmation email from McDonald's for the order repeat several times exactly what we'd ordered
They then gave us most of the order, though we had to explain that no we hadn't ordered fries. They asked "So you're just waiting on a frozen coke?" to which my partner replied "Yeah". The person now serving us replied to that with "No need to be rude".
I made the point (civilly) that they didn't need to treat us like criminals. We'd paid for our order online and had repeated it several times and shown the phone with proof of the order and payment twice.
Instead of apologising for their poor service, they were rude and...
