Churrocafe Carrara Markets — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

recently visited this place and ordered a combo of coffee and churros. When my order arrived, I was surprised to see that there was no sauce with the churros. When I asked about it, they told me the sauce was an extra charge—something they never mentioned when I placed my order. This is very misleading. It’s just common sense that churros come with a dip, and I’ve never had churros served without sauce before.

On top of that, the churros were dry, which made it even worse. And instead of being served on a plate, they were just thrown into a small fried food basket with no plate or anything underneath. It just felt careless and unappealing.

While I understand businesses have their own ways of marketing, being transparent with customers is important. If the sauce isn’t included, they should inform people upfront instead of charging extra later. We ordered one choripan, which is basically chorizo, chimichuri sauce, Argentinian mayo, in the softest Turkish style bread I've ever had the pleasure of eating. So good!

Then we had an asado-wrap which by some miracle was even more delicious. This had the most tender beef strips, thin slices of chorizo sausage, some light salad, grilled onion, mayo, and chimichuri sauce.

One small serve of churros with dulce de leche caramel was the perfect amount after our meals and drinks. The caramel was subtle and not super sweet.

The final morsel of ultimate deliciousness was the Alfajor, a delightful half wheat half cornflour masterpiece with the same incredible dulce de leche caramel sandwiched between two soft biscuits coated in dessicated...

A hidden gem in the Carrara markets. The ChurroCafe is a fantastic place to eat. The food is authentic South American and the taste is delicious. We spent the morning shopping at Carrara and thought we would grab a coup,e of churros at the cafe. Instead we decided to stay for lunch and was not disappointed.
