The restaurant was hot, and the food was really just average. I don't understand why they sell American burgers without fries. The burger had one patty, a slice of cheese, a couple of lettuce leaves, and a few pickles for $16? I'd rather eat at Hungry Jack for a more satisfying meal. My wife ordered corn cakes, but they added Greek yogurt, making the whole dish a mix of sour, sweet, and salty. The bacon on it was overpoweringly porky, and the coffee was too acidic with little aroma.
They served my burger on a small plate—was it meant for dogs?
The entire meal cost fifty dollars. If I hadn't seen your 4.6-star rating, I wouldn't have come. In my opinion, your food deserves only zero star.
P.S. I finished my food because I don't want to waste it, and it doesn't mean your food is good...
Your reviews have an average rating of 4.6 stars, mostly from previous owners. Please make an effort to improve customer reviews. In 2023, even with rising prices, it's not an excuse. You should consider how other businesses present their dishes or portion sizes. Instead of discussing the pricing of your menu with me, take a look at how other establishments manage their offerings. I can't see your dedication.
You serves an ordinary burger on a small plate for $16 and expects a positive review. Sorry, but I can't comply with that.
Wishing you a...
Read moreFriendly faces. Not gonna discount them on that. Coffee was fine. Music was really loud - not really an issue but it’s pretty cringe to sit there getting blasted by full volume ads because you don’t have premium music streaming.
The cost of the food wasn’t as pleasant. The taste was fine - just a very basic home style cooked breakfast. Salad/slaw mixture as a side was weird, but whatever.
The price was excessive. Paid $4.70 for a side of haloumi on the smashed avo, and $4.70 for a side of chorizo with the benny. Haloumi was about 50grams worth (see pics). Chorizo was literally three pieces and a tiny end piece (see pics).
You’re in such a challenging location - I’m not sure why you’re pricing your customers out, considering the amazing food and coffee quality of your extremely close by competitors. Your biggest draw card is the close proximity to locals, and yet the prices are on par with a huge coastal cafe. So why wouldn’t I just go the extra distance to one of them? Well, I guess I will in future.
Would really love to come here every week like I used to, but no one has ever seemed to get it right since the original owners sold a few years ago. Would have gladly shared this feedback with the team but no one came to check on how the food was, or had any interaction once we paid. I will happily delete this review if...

The coffee is fantastic, and the food is tasty, (big breakfast is a little over priced, but there are some great alternatives on the menu.
The staff are friendly, and where diligent to check for any dietary requirements, but, the down side to the Cafe, is the service is disjointed, and slow.
Coffee's took about 15 mins to be delivered.
The breakfast for two was delivered after 35 mins, for one of us, and then 45 mins for the other. I had finished my breakfast before my partner even had her dish served, frustrating and slow to say the least.
We had the same experience once before also, but wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt.
Its a dying shame, because the food and...
