I only recently realized that Oven Fresh Bakery sells Banh Mi, so I decided to give it a go. I arrived before lunch, and seeing the fridge fully stocked, I suspected I might have been the first person to order one that day. A young lady with dark hair served me. Her body language made it obvious she didn’t want to be there, which didn’t set a great tone for the experience. I asked for a Traditional Vietnamese Banh Mi, but was told that only crispy pork or chicken were available, as they didn’t actually make the full range of their menu options. That was already disappointing, but I went with the crispy pork, despite it being $3 more expensive than what I originally wanted. I was asked whether I wanted my Banh Mi fresh or toasted. Let’s be clear: this is misleading because the Banh Mi are not fresh. They are pre-made, including the meat, and stored in the fridge until sold. I asked for mine toasted and also requested that the meat be warmed up. The bread was heated, but the meat was still cold—and if you’ve ever eaten cold pork belly fat, you know it’s far from pleasant. The salad was nearly nonexistent, likely a strategic move to make room for their extra meat add-ons (at an extra cost, of course). All in all, this was a really disappointing experience. It feels like someone saw the increasing popularity of Banh Mi and decided to cash in with a subpar product. With so many better options around, there’s no reason to settle for this. I won’t be back.

Completely different experience with the Bahn mi this morning which are usually amazing but this one the pork was scarce and the bun was drowned in mayo, seemed like an attempt to bulk it up a bit to compensate for lack of meat ect. This is disappointing when you pay $14.50! It’s not like pork is an expensive item anyway. Just keep it honest and fair you will have continuous buyers.

absolutely disgusting feral customer service! i went to the cafe to get BOILING HOT water as i had my own coffee sachet, and i also purchased a hot chocolate for my daughter. i was charged 1 dollar for a SMALL cup filled HALF way of boiling water, which is fine HOWEVER, when handed to me, common sense says use 2 take away cups if serving hot water because it was extremely hot. so i asked for an extra cup, and the feral lady scoffed and threw a fit and spoke to her coworker obviously about me, infront of me. terrible! never coming here again and i’ll be informing everyone i know to never go to this disgusting cafe ever again. also ordered a small sausage roll, it was that cold and hard i recon if i threw it at someone they would’ve gotten knocked out. the consistency of the meat in the sausage roll was literally like salty sand. wouldn’t be surprised if it...

Customer service is so poor at this place, the food is left in the cabinets overnight for days. The meat pies are reheated if they don't sell them the day before. I like living so close I can take my pies home and cut the lids off and take the insides out and eat the crust first, but these pies were the worst Ive had. There was pretty much no real meat and just juice and gristle in the cheese and bacon pie, whatever meat was in there had turned into a hard crispy mess stuck to the crust after being re reheated, the crust was super hard I nearly chipped my tooth. The only good thing was the lid. Their chicken curry pies after opening had no chicken in it. I'm guessing it was just all flavouring. I'll be avoiding this place...
