Country Cafe and Homewares — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

I had read such great reviews about this cafe so we came to try. It was on the of the worst breakfast I’ve had. I had to pay extra $1.20 for lactose free milk. I ordered the brisket Benny and paid $3 extra for gluten free bread that ended up being soggy bread and not even toasted. The young person serving our food didn’t even know what she was serving us. This could have ended badly as we ordered two of the same meals and one was gluten feee due to a severe allergy and she didn’t even know what was what when serving it. We ordered 4 meals and all 4 meals were bland. 2 of the 4 meals with eggs in it, the eggs were undercooked, the whites were still running and watery. Both of the brisket bennys we ordered had hardly any actual brisket, most of the meat served was hard and burnt. Overall I paid $40 for a meal that I hardly ate and it was a waste of my money I will never return. All 4 people who came for breakfast were disappointed and we will not be recommending this place to our friends or family. The nicest part about our experience...

Won't be going back. Not one to ever complain but the whole experience wasn't too good. Went to order brunch but most things weren't available, went with waffles and icecream and hubby a bacon and egg burger. Sat down at the table to find it really dirty, milkshakes came out only very slightly cold but no straws available, meals came out with no cutlery which is totally ok but when she said she'd be right back but wasn't it became an issue as the icecream was turning to sludge in the bowl amongst the waffles, by the time hubby went looking for cutlery it was a soggy mess. I came in for a booking Sunday and was served by a lovely young girl, who I found her name to be Liv. My food was great and the service impeccable. But the 1 star is for the awful foul mouthed woman shouting at her staff and using language no one should hear! Her staff were doing nothing but their best and Liv was definitely looking distressed and upset by the words being spoken to her.

I would return again happily and hope that the management of this facility pull their heads in and thank their staff, praise them and life them up during rush times as this is not how you manage staff.
