Flow Cafe Dakabin — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

What a beautiful cafe. Every table full with happy smiling faces as I make my way to the front counter. I am quite sick, but it's the first day I feel like eating in a while. I woke up this morning dreaming about Flow Cafes All Day Brekkie! I am greeted by Amanda. I like her apron, her socks and her vibrant energy. I order a big brekkie with a few changes. I take a seat in their breezy relaxing court yard overlooking the abundance of trees in the yonder. Literally within 5 minutes, my food arrives like artwork on a plate. The eggs poached to perfection, the grilled tomato juicy and flavorsome, sweet flower petals scattered over my plate, garlic mushrooms bursting with flavor and my favorite, baked beans in their own little bowl. Unfortunately, my lovely wife doesn't like breakfast out, so I've only been here a handful of times, every time was absolutely delightful. This review, however, was brought upon by a recent facebook post that highlighted their vanilla slice, so I had to try it. I'm not usually one to order such a thing nowadays, so this could have slipped by me without others' reviews. Therefore, this review is aimed at steering another to try this delicious little dessert. I've been disappointed by many vanilla slice over the years, but Flow Cafe Dakabin has restored my desire for such a treat. The pastry was well done with perfect crisp whilst the vanilla filling was perfectly textured, flavoured, and sweet. Although I might not get the chance to dine here often enough, I will definitely take the opportunity to indulge in this delicious creation on possibly too frequent occasions...

It's great to be able to get a decent coffee this far from town, in a still developing area no less. Many cafes with little neighbouring competition would go for a cheaper coffee machine and lower grade coffee instead of specialty beans, but Flow has done it well.

Good value meals, LOVE the giant parmys made in house with proper chicken and interesting and tasy beer battered curly chips.... which seem to come with just about everything (at least on the lunch side).

My only wish for the menu is some more healthy / Salad options, like a Thai Beef or perhaps a decent Nicoise, maybe a Mango Chicken during summer - or maybe some poke bowls or similar.
