BUYER BEWARE: they do not care how long food stays out for and WILL DOUBLE FRY YOUR FOOD WITHOUT TELLING YOU!

My family and most of my friends families were weekly customers before this happenned. Ordered over $100 worth of food through menulog on a busy night and saw no driver was coming to pick it up when the app said it was ready. We called Maria's Fish and Chips to tell them we would be happy to pick it up instead, but they said it wasnt ready yet and they would wait for a menulog driver. We asked them that if a driver did not come when it was ready, please call us so we can come and pick up our food fresh. Called them again over an hour later, turns out our food had been sitting out for TWO HOURS. We asked for it to be cooked fresh and we would come and get it ourselves and they refused. We overheard them on the phone calling out to "just chuck it in the fryer again, they'll be here soon". Kept blaming menulog for the issue and not taking responsibility for the food THEY COOKED. We cancelled the order and bought food from somewhere else. Food turned up over THREE HOURS AFTER IT WAS COOKED. Sadly i have no choice but to give one star and that is 3 stars too many the sad and angy lady behind the counter that did not want to take our order eventually did. Placed our order at a total cost of $24 something at 6:00 when the shop doesnt close untill 7:30 on a Saturday night by the time we collected our food they had basically prepared the shop ready for closure. We come home and unwrap our cold uncooked food with more than half of the order missing and maybe 23 and a half chips in the bag (be generous) we tried calling but didnt get an answer until 6:50 to inform of the mistake to only get a complaint filed and not fix the monumental error they created and then to also be told the manager was the person cooking on the night. Well safe to say we wont be taking a punt on this store again and dont recommend anyone...

Worst customer service ever!! Asked what kind of cod we're they selling from the menu? Couldn't tell me then brought out a box that said Hake?? This is the cod she said. I said where does it say that & she continued to speak really fast while walking away "if you want to know then call our supplier & ask" at $9.80 for 1 piece!! your advertising cod when it isn't!! Don't trust this shop they don't know what they are selling & would sell you anything!! It's not like they are a Kmart & selling hundreds of items! It's a dodgy fish n chip shop selling 40 item max. If you buy from this place make sure what you are buying is actually what you are...
