We just shifted in the area and met the owner Craige ex Army (Thanks for your service mate). My wife Sue tried the lemon and raspberry cake and I tried the Lemon slice and we both agreed they were the best cakes we have experienced for some time. The friendly staff were amazing esp Aaliyah who was great and so professional and open to speak with us as we asked questions. Its hard to find people who give a few minutes to chat esp new people in the area. We found the same with the owner Craige. We didnt get to meet his partner Vanessa who is the peron behind the scenes who makes all the amazing cakes. đŸ˜Č So nice and the coffee was great not bitter just right. As a new person to Dbay and live cafes and coffee I must say after living in redlands for over 23 years their cafe leaves a lot of them for dead. You must go amd enjoy the great food and friendly staff and great atmosphere. They close at 2pm so get there early. You wont be disappointed. 5 star!!!

This cafe is one of those little hidden gems that you wouldn't know was there until you stumble across it. A real positive for this cafe is that the outside dining area is shaded by number of trees. Even on a hot day you can still find a shady spot to enjoy the outdoors. The beef burger is a a great choice for burger lovers. The pattie is hand pressed. The onion is caramelised. The chips are crisp and well seasoned. And the bun is really soft and delicious. The cake cabinet is filled with what is clearly homemade cakes. I had the chocolate cake which did have a packet mix taste. Don't let that put you off though. The cake was so moist and the buttercream icing was delicious and I'd have it again without hesitation. It was a generous slice and I'm very glad that I shared it. I will be back for sure and I'm looking forward to it already.

Decided to take a gamble and try this place out today, and boy did it pay off. I turned up and noticed that all outside tables had been booked, due to being Father's Day. I thought this is a good sign. But the best was yet to come. The owner came out to open for business. I asked if there was any available seating inside, and he gave me one of the free tables left. I found the lighting and vibe of the place groovy. When it came time to order. I decided on the Eggs Benedict with bacon, and this did not disappoint. It was so damn nice I could've ordered another serveđŸ„°. I had a lactose free cappuccino and it was as smooth as silkđŸ„°. This place is a gem and I can understand why it seems to be so popular. This is now going to be one of my top three go to cafes âœŒïžđŸ©·âœŒïž.

Breakfast Bliss at Zesty Lemon – Deception Bay

Nestled along the scenic waterfront of Moreton Bay, Zesty Lemon CafĂ© is a charming spot that delivers more than just a pretty view—it serves up a breakfast worth waking up for.

I opted for the poached eggs with mushroom, tomato, and rosti, paired with a refreshing blood orange drink. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the mushrooms earthy and tender, and the rosti had that golden crisp that makes you pause between bites just to savor it. Everything was beautifully plated and tasted as fresh as it looked.

The café prides itself on using free-range eggs, locally sourced breads and small goods, and offers gluten-free and vegan options, which is a thoughtful touch for diverse dietary needs. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. Staff are friendly and attentive, and the service is consistently praised by locals and visitors alikeRestaurant Guru.

💬 Final Thoughts: Whether you're a local or just passing through, Zesty Lemon is a standout breakfast destination. Come for the food, stay for the view—and maybe grab a slice of their homemade...

First time here today thought I would try because of the great reviews. Coffee was great food was prepared quickly and staff were friendly. My only gripe is the food I ordered just wasn’t great:/ hard to pinpoint exactly what was wrong but just seemed abit tasteless even though the presentation was nice. I always order a large breakfast and always finish the whole meal but this time I just picked and mainly ate because I didn’t want to waste $19. Probably a 1/3 of my meal I left as it just wasn’t enjoyable unfortunately. I don’t know if maybe it’s a different chef but my friend came the week earlier and said that her food was fantastic but this time she also didn’t really enjoy it and left most of it. Plus excuse the graphic comment I’m about to make but I also got the runs 1/2 hour after leaving and that’s all I had eaten that morning.. I honestly don’t really want to try again as it’s left my high expectations very diminished now. Maybe just check the food handling and replacing of oil in the kitchen and hygiene...
