Gumeracha Hotel — Restaurant in Gumeracha

Well, this place was a surprise packet! Decided to head to here for a Saturday afternoon lunch. Never been to this pub before, however, so had no idea what it was like. Fortunately, it wasn't too busy and a table for four was secured. Greeted with wonderful friendliness straight up. We had a surf and turf schnitzel, battered fish and 2 x lambs fry. Meals come quickly and were big!! Three could finish there plates so I had to "reluctantly" step up and knock down what they couldn't. Still, I was slightly out done and we took some home in a container. So, if you have a hunger, look no further as you will be satisfied here. Chef even had a couple friendly conversations with us and others to make sure everything was as it should. Top bloke! Excellent food. They even have a couple of craft beers. They have captured me. This is a top country pub and deserves your support. (But no Covid, please! So they can continue their great work!) Highly...

The staff were lovely and attentive. They turned the heater on which was extremely noisy so left us the remote to fix it.

Unfortunately the food let the whole place down. Came here for my son's 13th birthday lunch on a whim as we were in area. My partner's steak was not seasoned at all and the meat in the brisket burger my son ordered was dry as a bone. Drier and tougher than jerky, also extremely salty. Sadly it was inedible. I didn't want to complain in front of my son to staff on his birthday. Hence why I'm doing so on here. I wanted it to be memorable as I had heard good things but sadly we won't be returning. My daughter also ordered a meal off kids menu. We were not offered the free icecream that it stipulated. After paying all that money, I took home a doggy bag of food and will somehow work my culinary magic to redeem and rehydrate the brisket...

Again the Gumeracha Hotel has out done themselves. We heard about their slow cooking meals and we had the beef ribs and brisket pizza. Oh my, these are both amazing. A great atmosphere and all patrons and staff enjoy the time spent exile we enjoyed our visit. Have to come back again to try more on the menu 👍🤓💯🌄🧙‍♂️😎

Update to my review, had the family up for a birthday meal and I was made to feel like it was a special day. What a way to celebrate and the people match the food, fantastic and perfect. Thanks again guys, again I can only put 5 stars but 10/10 is what is needed here.👍🤓🧙‍♂️🌄💯

Another fantastic meal yesterday and a 500g rump steak cooked to perfection. Again push away the steak knife and use the butter knife.great place, amazing people. Thanks...
