After being recommended to this winery my partner and i thought we would go to have a nice Sunday lunch, upon arrival we were seated and at this point it wasnt that busy. We had been waiting for around 15 minutes before ordering food and were told we could only order food at this time and not drinks. We were a little confused by that but figured we'd be able to order drinks when our food would be served. After waiting for what seemed to be another 15 minutes i noticed that a family function had been served drinks so i decided to go to the cashier to order drinks while my partner waited at our table for the food. Whilst waiting in line at the counter i was pushed back multiple times by a server while he proceeded to serve other people, eventually i ordered my drinks and arrived to my table where the food had finally been served. I ordered the gnocchi (which was pretty nice!) but my partner ordered a medium-rare steak that was completely charred and was very well done. Unfortunately he could only eat the chips and couldnt touch his steak, he was very disappointed. During the whole time we were eating and waiting around not a single staff member had interacted with us or asked how our food was. After switching tables to a quieter spot we were finally given our drinks which were ordered 30 minutes prior, i mentioned to the waiter (i believe his name was Jonathan) that we were very dissatisfied with the steak and were not happy to pay for it and if he could pass on that message to the chef or owner. He was very apologetic and said he would pass that on. A short time after that we noticed the owner go over to the table we were originally at and pick up the steak, look around the room and look at everyone but us, then to our absolute disgust he decided to take the steak to another customer and offer it to her dogs!!!! He didnt even come up to us and ask about the food or offer to resolve the issue. At this point my partner and i were extremely disappointed and flusted and just wanted to leave.

We went upto the counter to pay, mentioned that we were not going to pay for a meal we could not eat and that we were upset that no one had come up to us to resolve the issue even after telling a staff member to pass on the message. We confronted what we imagine to be the owner that we were disgusted that he had given the steak to another customer for her dog opposed to coming to us and talking about it. He then said that its because my partner didnt eat it! We were appalled at that and said its because it was unedible and that someone should have come up to us to try and resolve the issue! The owner started to get very agitated at us and started to throw bottle caps onto the counter and stumble off while mumbling under his breath. What i can imagine to be the manager (an asian man wearing white cargo pants) tried to only discount the meal when we stepped in and said that we would not be paying for the steak. After he noticed the owner staring to get aggravated at us he started dealing with the problem professionally by saying sorry and telling us that we wouldnt need to pay for the steak. We were so very disappointed that the owner had dealt with this issue so unprofessionally and started to get angry at the customer.

At a glance we were treated with terrible service as if we were invisible, a disgusting, unprofessional attitude from the owner and a waste of 1.5 hours on food and drinks they we...

Have wanted to go here for years. Was thinking fresh local foods maybe Italian/Modern Fusion nestled amongst Olive trees and grape Vines. Well the trees n vines are there, but very run down tired looking. Long wait to order over 15 minutes. Menu so boring and nothing much. Was wanting something substantial. Ended up on Spicy Chicken Parmi and my Friend Fish n Chips. 45 minutes later arrived. Chips cold Salad warm n limp like it been sitting on the pass for a while, same for my friend. Chicken was bland and mostly overcooked crumbs not much chicken. Fish was ok. Wine was nice what you would expect from a Winery. Service was so poor. Only seemed 1 man running around trying to do it all. Tables full with dirty plates causing flys and dirty napkins blowing around in the breeze. The only positive was the ice cream. Fig and Muscat. So beautiful made with love and care. Shame the person making that wasn't in charge of the rest of the menu. Very disappointing if the food and ambience could match the ice cream it would be a...

I have been here a couple of times and it definately wont be the last. The food and service is fantastico! The staff are all friendly and very colourful and cheerful characters. The food is amazing, well cooked, well presented and in large portions and prices are very reasonable. You can sit at your table on the lawn overlooking a lakè. Great scenery!!! Its a casual and very relaxed atmosphere.. Only because i remember his name only but Bernie is a very cheerful character and always makes you smile.. which the rest of the staff are also.. they all make you feel very welcome and manage to drag a smile out of you no matter what your mood.. the edgecombe brothers shiraz is a lovely drop to have with your lunch, i couldnt resist taking a few bottles home... go here, try it, love it and find yourself wanting to return...

A girls' day out at Edgecombe Winery was nothing short of perfection! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The sparkling and rosé were absolutely delightful, setting the tone for a fabulous afternoon. The food was equally impressive—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. After lunch, we moved away from the tables and sat on the grass, enjoying the view overlooking the vineyard and lake which made for the perfect backdrop to relax and chat. The entire experience was simply wonderful, and we can't wait to go back again soon!

Decided to book for birthday lunch here but hadn't been there for a while. Nothing really changed and probably needs a bit of a face lift. Surrounds are very nice and picturesque and could be very relaxing but the restaurant hosts/managers seem to shout at each other or talk extremely loud. It was very overwhelming and even other tables were saying the same. Overall service was prompt. Meals Overall were average. Not bad but not great either..

We noticed this place was dog friendly so brought our dog along, and we were greeted in grand style by Alf who made as much fuss about our dog as us! Customer service like this is so great to see, and what beautiful scenery to match. They also shows us the grapes the wine came from which was a great personal touch we haven’t seen at any other winery. Also kid friendly with a playground to keep them occupied while you enjoy some much needed rest.
