1/2 Acre Coffee Lounge Cafe — Restaurant in Howlong

We sat outside, and it was beautiful in the sun, there was lots of cheeky birds eating other tables food after they had gone. I had the aracini and added a hashbrown. The aracini was delicious with a nice combination of spinach, tomato and rice. The salad was delicious, with a beetroot dressing on it that made it really fresh. The chips were a nice type of crispy and salty, however, I have a bias towards the classic thick chips, and didn't particularly like these thin chips but that's me. I took a Toblerone cheesecake home and that wad delicious. It was full of chocolate, but it wasn't too rich, and was just the right flavour of cheesecake and chocolate. I also had a hot chocolate which was delicious with thick foam. It wasn't too rich, which I love, and the chocolate powder tasted like quality powder. All in all, it was a lovely experience, and the staff were lovely, but it was very busy, and the wait time for staff to take dishes was a tad bit longer then it should be. It was worth the food and a lovely stop...

Five of us had lunch here on 30 Dec, two were locals, the rest of us from ACT. The two locals visit here frequently and took us there. However, it was the 2nd last day of 2020, and Howlong, which is generally a quiet place, was bursting with travellers. We had to que outside for a short time because of covid floor load limits, and others were queing up behind us, so the staff were a bit overwhelmed. However, food and coffee were good, food and drinks were delivered to our table with a smile and a friendly chat despite the pressure they were under. They had a lovely, rustic outdoor dining area and despite the numbers it didn't feel crowded. We will go back and recommend it to any travellers...

Just by chance you roll into town and you pick a place to have breakfast. A few to choose from but you pick this one. Well great choice. Eggs had flavour, bacon cooked not just shown the frying pan. A real pot of tea made with leaves. The atmosphere just right. So what's left the service of course. A very forgotten art well a pleasant surprise. Even more surprising two young people not teen ages for sure. Wow not only good at customer service but manners. Well done young people keep it up and work hard as you are and you will succeed in...
