The Freshwater Kitchen — Restaurant in Iluka

The food was pretty mediocre, it tasted nice but could have have a bit more excitement. The location is decent with only outside seating, the staff are nice but a little bit oblivious.

It took way longer than it should have to get served. The food arrived quickly which was nice but when I went to serve first of all they didn't have the flavour milkshake I wanted (not there fault).

I think for a Cafe they should have better quality food with a larger variety of items to choose from. Including pastries would be a good way to get more customers.

Pricing should also be lower... 19.50 for a bacon and egg roll plus a milkshake is pricey for the quality.

Overall I wouldn't not eat it but there are much better...

My husband and I have just moved to the area and let me tell you that this little gem is forever going to be our favourite little spot for brekky from here on in! Amazing food, portion sizes are perfect and price is bang on what you would expect for the quality they provide 👌 the overall presentation of the Cafe is gorgeous. Flowing vines, comfy pillows, a good range of music to suit all and omg the goodies they have in the servery window are to die for. We just went 2 mornings in a row for their big brekkie 🫣😜 calories don't count when the food is THAT GOOD!!! you guys have forever patrons with us 🙌 keep doing what you are doing - it's unreal!...

What a lovely surprise the Freshwater Kitchen turned out to be for my favourite Nth Coast town, in all my time Iluka has never been known for its culinary pitstop UNTIL now. Over the past year every time I visit, I go for breakfast, lunch and coffee pitstops and yeah, their burger nights too, every time I have been blown away, especially with the delicious corn fritters for breakfast…and bonus points my dog is welcome…😊 everyone seems to know each other and it has a great vibe, what hidden gem this place is.
