We have been a couple of times now for breakfast which has been very good, the home made relish in the big breakfast is very tasty ! Last time we went we also got a milkshake and a thickshake as a treat which was a mistake, the glasses for these are absolutely tiny.... maybe 200ml 250 tops? And ours given to us were maybe 80% full at most... 3 average sips and they were gone.... the milkshake was warm/lukewarm milk probably that had been sitting on the bench all morning making coffees we guess ? and the thickshake was a cold milkshake it was not thick at all so probably the same milk with a tablespoon of ice cream at most? Very disappointing but the lovely younger staff were probably not trained in milk shake making or been told to serve them in the wolrds smallest plastic glasses lol. Would love to see this place serve a real milkshake but we wont be back for milkshakes ever again unless something changes.... its an easy money maker when done right and people WANT to come back for another. Stainless steel milkshake cups (re-useable) and at a FULL milkshake size would be a good start !!! Or just the take away sized milkshake cups, but make sure they are COLD either way đ people will pay for a good milk shake or feel very ripped off when you serve them 200ml of lukewarm milk !
Service was great and breakfast great, a touch slow but it was busy and we werent in a rush đ the -1 star is only for...
Read moreThe Wild Vine Cafe is a hidden gem nestled in the idyllic country town of Imbil, located near Lake Borumba. From the moment you walk in, you'll realise that it was worth the drive.
There are several vines draping around the inside area, then as you saunter to the outdoor area you'll come across an assortment of lush greenery, and a solid wooden archway that covers the footpath. On each wooden post, there are historical highlights from several years that were key in the shaping of Imbil and the Mary Valley.
It is a licensed restaurant that offers a variety of wines, beers and cocktails that are definitely worth a sampling. The menu exudes quality, and uses locally sourced ingredients for some of the dishes, which are all delicious.
There is a special atmosphere at The Wild Vine that is hard to describe, you need to experience it for yourself. With a covered outdoor deck that has recently been built, and more outdoor seating bays coming soon, it is only going...
Read moreI made an online dinner booking here on Friday 29th sept for Saturday 30th sept. I thought I would get a confirmation that I was booked. The email said it was being âreviewedâ. As I hadnât heard back I called on my way to camping at Imbil, the fellow didnât seem to know of my booking so ârebookedâ me. When we got there we were booked under the wrong name.
I was disappointed that you only had sav blanc by the glass.
Can I also suggest a couple more speakers with soft music in the garden so ppl can have privacy when talking to each other as tables are quite close.
Suffice it to say, the staff were very friendly and accomodating as I asked for the heater. The food was great and very generous. We had a parmy chips n salad and a chicken linguine. The atmosphere was so lovely we went back for coffee next day and sat in the garden again. Well done chef, staff and owner. Youâre venue is a little piece of...
