Inverell Australia Cafe — Restaurant in Inverell

Rude Rude Rude. We called into this cafe at 12.20 today for lunch and while waiting to be seated noted that there were plenty of vacant tables. My wife, with menu in hand, and myself were greeted by the manager/owner to be told “get out of here” as they were too busy to serve us and the family in line behind us. At this point the menu was snatched from my wife’s hand and we were pointed towards the door to exit.

We found our way to the General Merchant which is another eatery and greeted with a pleasant smile and advised that while busy there was a 30 minute wait which we accepted and had a great meal.

THIS is the place to eat. Over about 8 years the same friendly service and food draws you back time and time again. If your visiting town and just want a drink, take your time and listen to the country warmth. Most staff know the names of at least 95 % of customers and the boss " Glen" is always passing remarks to keep the customers happy. Note of importance. TONI and GLEN are fully qualified 5 star chiefs so that's why you get the best cafe meals in town. They don't want the pressures of top restaurants so WA are the looser and Inverell the winner ...

Would definitely not recommend this place, should have taken my first red flag when first sitting at a table full of ants, then moved tables and the waiter was quick to ask if we were ready to order he soon came back and was very rude and has no Customer Service, then getting my food it was disgusting not edible at all I ordered the snitty piziolia and my parter had the snitty both meals we only had a couple bites of and was very disappointed in the quality of food we then soon felt sick and left the place.
