The Welder's Dog is a satellite version from the Boutique Brewery in Armidale... but this one is run by Inverell Locals. Great place, good atmosphere, large choice of custom beers (including an Inverell version), good choice of spirits, cocktails and whiskeys - so a step above your average regional pub.

This place also has a good community spirit, and the owners support local groups, Musician's Jam/Open Mic once a month, The Dog Run Wednesdays at 5.30pm, trivia, and lots of other activities by local groups... so it stays fairly active with happenings, and interesting things to attend.

James The owner was very accommodating and consistently made our entire company feel warm and welcome , the diverse range of beers and spirits was something to marvel at and James and his staffs knowledge was limitless. The IPA was a hit for myself but the rest of the party recommend the house bourbon and the endless range of top shelf scotch.

The dark beers were a favorite at the end of the night accompanied with the delicious espresso martinis

Stopped in on our way home from the Simpson Desert after passing three pubs that weren’t open for food. Saw The Welders Dog and figured it had to be good – and it was spot on.

From the street it looked inviting, and once inside we were greeted by a young lady at the bar who was super helpful and friendly. It happened to be wing night, and we absolutely cleaned up – the wings were that good. A couple of local brews later and we were set.
