Brookton Burger Co. Kelmscott — Restaurant in Kelmscott

July 2025 First time visitor to Brookton Burgers. Our family of 4, including two teenage boys have had Brookton Burgers on the list to try out for a long time. We are slowly (very) trying to eat our way through the big name burger joints of Perth. Decent amount of parking available. We visited at 5.30 on a week night and we were served immediately. Friendly young service. It wasn’t overly busy at all but people were regularly coming in, but without a queue. Large clean public bathroom available. We chose to eat in the restaurant to get a sense of the atmosphere. It was freezing!! I decided we could leave as soon as our food arrived, but I really didn’t want to eat at home. Was disappointing. When I checked out the other side of the restaurant - that was warm! Heater on one side, freezing AC on the other… really weird. Our food came out one by one within 10-15 minutes, so quite prompt. We ordered: the special - Truff Daddy (apparently back by popular demand ($22) The Big B - with additional chicken and bacon ($24 + $7.50 + $4) Popcorn chicken ($16) Maple bacon loaded fries ($18) Potato fries ($10)

I was looking forward to a delicious experience with the Truff Daddy, but sadly I was underwhelmed. I was surprised to see mustard was the condiment that was on this burger - it overpowered every other ingredient - I couldn’t tell that truffle was even inside. The smash patties were nice. Teen #1 hoovered through his humongous Big B like it was a slider. Teen #2 ate popcorn chicken and these were deliciously crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The maple loaded fries were too much. As teen #1 put it ‘sweet stuff shouldn’t be anywhere near fries’. We were out the door within the hour at 6.30. It wasn’t a bad experience, just average. We can tick it off our Perth burgers list as a one time visit and try out...

Honestly, just really disappointed :(

Me and my whole family used to adore this company for their high quality food and great customer experience but unfortunately one awful experience ruined it all. We had received our order to find our burgers absolutely charred and burnt to a crisp (see below) to the point that the sticky tar from the grill was evident on the burgers. When we called up and they offered us a replacement we were grateful that they were rectifying their mistake. Unfortunately, when we made our way back to the restaurant, the staff (including the manager/owner) were unhelpful and dismissive, barely engaging in any customer service. Their was no communication from staff to us and when we eventually received our new food, it wasn't even the correct order. We felt really unwelcome due to the fact that staff were rude and dismissive and made it seem like our complaint, caused by their mistakes, was a major inconvenience to them. Those burgers should never have left the kitchen and if the staff had just displayed appropriate attitude and helpful customer service we wouldn't have minded, everybody makes mistakes. They’ve recently changed their menu, I prefer the old menu as it had more interesting items. I had the aussie burger before the menu changed and the pineapple relish was delicious. I recently had their cheeky chook burger but asked if I could add their roasted red pepper relish and not to have jalapeños in it. The burger came out and it didn’t have any relish and had jalapeños. I didn’t say anything as I couldn’t be bothered having it remade. It says on the menu it had red onion but it looked like just a normal brown onion. The chicken was really good though, it had some seasoning on it, which gave it a taste almost like kfc and it was nice and crispy. The chicken burger was good but it wasn’t made how I asked for it. I paid $2 for the changes that didn’t happen so it was a bit of a rip off. They have chips although they only come in one size. I was ordering for just myself, so I had to pay for a large size when I only ate half, so again felt a bit ripped off. The sweet potato fries weren’t bad though. Overall the burgers are decent but when it came to making changes they couldn’t execute it and not having the options for different sizes for chips...
