Decided to go all out today and order a massive indian meal for my birthday. I wish I could go back and change that decision. I am so very disappointed with the food I could barely down. I would never order from this place every again after this experience. Beef Vindaloo had barely any beef and instead they filled the container with atleast 4 to 5 massive potatoes. Ordered Chicken Balti and Muglai Murgh which were completely identical even though the photos I have seen of them are completely different. Ordered a Beef Bhindi Kolhapuri dish and there was no sign of the Bhindi so I'm not sure why this dish is called that. Ordered a Dhal and received some kidney beans instead, if you look at the photos of this Dhal Dil Khush dish on their menu you can clearly spot a yellow Dhal dish whereas we got some red bean curry, absolutely not appetizing. Now lets finish this with talking about the Garlic Naan, I have never in my life eaten a worse naan, it was completely burnt all black on the top and bottom. My guests barely touched them. I still have them sitting on my counter and will possibly end up in the bin. If they didn't have some of the ingredients to make some of the dishes I ordered the least the restaurant can do is give me a call to let me know but it wasn't to be. Its really really hard to find a decent curry house these days which delivers the quality their reviews promise. I would stay away from this place...

Service is nothing short of outstanding. Everyone is super friendly. The owner/chef always visits the table to ask how everything is, which I feel is a rare quality these days. The other staff will often ask if there's anything needed. If I could do 6 stars, I would.
Quality. Everything provided is beautiful. The curries are all "next-level" good. The condiments provided are all there. The onion bhajis are the best. Food in abundance and all amazing. The drink selection is also great. Kingfisher on tap and perfectly poured! Again I would award 6 stars if I could.
I would recommend booking if you'd like to eat in. The place can get busy at times.
Do yourself a favour and go to Essence of India in Kinross. You won't be...
Read morePopped in for dinner on Sunday. On first impression, the decor is a little tired, but the atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing! Started with complimentary popadoms with a delicious slightly spicy mint yoghurt. We shared the mixed starter, which came with the most deeply marinaded, juicy chicken tikka I've ever had and crisp onion bhajis. The main curries had thick, rich sauces and the beef was absolutely sensational! The waiter was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The chef (possibly the owner?) Came out to check everything was ok and give us containers to pack up our leftovers to take home. All in all, a fantastic dinner experience and we will definitely be...
