IF YOU HAVE BABIES OR SMALL CHILDREN THEY ARE NOT WELCOME.
Came here with friends today. We have a 13 month old baby, spent $90 on meals for my partner and baby. The baby as a baby would, made a little mess on the floor and we had every intention of clearing it up at the end. (If we clear it up as we go he sees it as a game and does it more)
The lady on the front of house (assuming she’s the manager) came over, very angry shouting at us in front of the busy cafe that the mess was excessive and they don’t want to encourage rats like we were pigs. I bit back and explained he’s 13 months old, and a baby and we had every intention to clear it up.
She killed the mood, made us all feel very unwelcome.
After the meal, I felt she needed the feedback on how she made us feel. So explained I appreciate she has a job to do, and that it’s tough when it’s busy, but she made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. She replied with ‘well there’s other customers here, with dogs and the mess was ridiculous and excessive and you, can play, those games at home, not here’ I replied back with ‘well you won’t have to worry about us again, as we won’t be returning and that you should learn how to talk to people if this is your choice of career’
Advice: approach people better, or a simple : ‘let me clear this up for you, we don’t want to encourage animals’
Last time we visited we saw on 2 occasions children nearly drown in the pond trying to touch the figurines. Again, not child friendly.

Scooped up out of Bali and flopped straight into the Kioloa bush, it’s a difficult place to resist for some dusty Sunday brunchin. A one stop shop for anyone seeking bevs, nibbles and some trendy linen v necks.
We were surprised when the staff seemed repeatedly exhausted when we asked where we could find such unique dining gems such as cutlery or water. The food was great for some and sad face for others, generally tasty with a few interesting artistic choices like a side of icy mushrooms. The other dishes had all their flavour packaged into a tiny serve, leaving 2 big greedy bois still peckish
Definitely stop by for a coffee or some threads and a snack. If you’re hungry, maybe bring some...
Read moreOne morning last year, I spent $46 dollars on takeaway breakfast here and was not allowed to use the toilet. That was dissapointing. A week later, the same lady owner who rudely wouldn’t allow me to use the bathroom was tailgating me in a 60 zone driving erraticly and overtook on double lines passing racecourse beach early in the morning on her way to work. I found it disappointing to say the least. It took a while to say this. I don’t like talking down on small businesses in my area. It’s now a known thing that most surfers and my friends go to top cafe to not deal with the rudeness as they’ve had bad experiences also. Sorry to other staff there for the bad review . Not recommended. We are a community first and...
