Golden JM Bakery — Restaurant in Logan City

Popped in the other morning to buy an item that wasn’t on the shelf. Before I opted for another option, I asked the female staff (generation x) if there was any available considering the shop had already opened for an hour. She rudely said no & to get something else.

The male staff had kindly advised that the item was not ready as of yet. I’ve then asked for a hot item & went to grab a drink from the fridge. She then asked me “anything else” told her another hot food item as her back was faced towards me. She repeated the same question without grabbing the item, I assumed she didn’t hear me the first time and said it again… I kid you not she went from 0 to 100 real quick in a snappy tone “Yes I already know that, you said that already. Was there anything else?” Rang up the cost total & left eftpos machine near her end of the glass while she went and had a conversation with male staff, so I had to reach over the hot glass (hazard).

Left the store with no bag or a goodbye greeting which I saw coming. This experience was a standard practice of poor customer service. It doesn’t cost anything to be kind, will not be returning as this is one of many rude encounters with this woman and I’ve had enough.

I don’t know how this store as past the 4 stars but the service was absolutely appalling. The lady at the store was impatient and rude and there was no one else in the store. She devalued her own store and told me to go elsewhere as her store is in the poor area. I only asked a question if the pie was beef or chicken and she said “go to the rich area cause we don’t sell chicken pies or anything special here” they honestly didn’t have much in their store, I was craving for a banana cake or apple custard dessert but they had none of that...

Didn’t even bother spending money here after the workers pressured you every second that you’re there.

Trying to communicate with family to figure out what they want and the workers adamantly kept pressuring me to decide, “not take photo”, and generally being very pushy.

Politely let them know that “I don’t have to decide to spend money here” and walked out the door. More than happy to drive down the road and spend money where they don’t act like walking in the door means getting berated until you give...
