Macclesfield General Store — Restaurant in Macclesfield

Stopped here on my drive down to goolwa to see my elderly grandmother. was looking around to see what little snack I could afford with the only few bucks I had at the time… I could only JUST afford the bag of prunes I ended up getting 😅 but the lovely lady who was serving me and already being so hospitable, then just handed me a pasty from the warmer 😊 she said it would just be going to the chooks otherwise but at the time I massively appreciated it as I was very tight on money. Before this she was showing me the freezer of assorted home cooked meals, one of which I’ll be sure to try next time.

Great service and really nice food and coffee. Atmosphere is good and excellent range of items that make it a versatile general store. Came back again, food was certainly lacklustre this time. Luke warm chicken burger that looked like it was from McDonalds $2 menu and Luke warm chips that had obviously been sitting for a while. Couldn't even finish the burger it was...

Good coffee, nice cakes and lunch items. Friendly staff and quick service. Warm inside and easy to talk at the tables which are well spaced out. Also has general store food items for sale, very handy for the locals. Prices are very reasonable and did I say the coffee was huge... Overall...
