This spacious restaurant located within Pullman magenta shores overlooks a large water feature and the golf course, it is a beautifully decorated formal space predominately with black and accents of deep green velvet with gold touches.
The professionalism of service was shown at the highest level by all staff I encountered.
Although not presented very well the generous entree of rack of lamb ribs with Greek spice rub was caramelised and grilled to perfection, the lamb was melting in the mouth delicious and it was served on creamy baba ghanoush, topped with a medley of raw finely chopped parsley, tomatoes, red onion and pea tendrils, it was absolutely phenomenal, one of the best dishes I’ve had on the coast, and ranked in my top 10 of all time. I would return for this dish alone. I hope it remains on the menu for some time to come.
The Pork belly entree served on a bed of thick smooth and creamy pumpkin purée was 3 cubes of caramelised pumpkin and 3 of pork which was extremely soft, delicious and full of flavourful and I enjoyed the dish very much although I never tasted any red curry, and I would of loved to of had just a little piece of crackle with this dish it would of made it complete.
The veal Osso buco was an extremely generous portion which was Soft and tender, it was an enjoyable plate of food but lacked flavour and unfortunately 2 out of the 3 carrots were very undercooked, and although the food itself wasn’t dry there was little to no liquid within the dish.
The tandoori Chicken was not as expected, although it was a soft and delicious piece of chicken ( on the bone ) it was far from tandoori chicken as we all know it. This version was made simply with light tandoori flavours brushed over roasted chicken, the 3 accompaniments (aloo tikki, mango chutney and mint yoghurt-all 3 too sweet ) were all layered on top of each other under the chicken was also a little unexpected arrangement and didn’t work well all together layered like that as the overly abundant serving of mango chutney was sickly sweet and avoiding it was not possible.
The pavlova, served on a base which looked and tasted like a store bought mini nest was a little disappointing but it was topped with hand made coconut sorbet and it was the best ice cream I’ve ever had in my entire life, it really was Devine. It was also accompanied by pineapple which was tinned pineapple pieces but deliciously caramelised like little sticky lollies, sort of like a softer moister version of dehydrated candied pineapple, the cashews were a nice element but would of worked better if slightly crushed or chopped as the whole nuts didn’t work together with the overall softness of the dish.
The Apple & Blueberry Strudel was nice but nothing special, although not exactly dry, the filling lacked moisture, I could not taste mascarpone in the cream which the 2 little dots of it were very disproportionate in comparison to the strudel size itself. The smear of caramel was delicious but out of place in this dish and was unnecessary.
Overall an outstanding dining experience, with service to match.
Would I recommend.. yes. Would I return.. definitely.

Read moreBeautiful venue and a gorgeous set up for Mothers Day today, however, for $80 per person it was just not worth it and very disappointing.
To note: our booking was for 3 people at 12pm for 90minutes.
Firstly, it wasn’t a very good look seeing staff running back and fourth right on 11:50am/having guests packed at the door, then to be seated at 12:10pm and told we only have until 1:30pm (after being seated late and already knowing this information upon booking).
We were asked when seated whether we were ready for our high tea, which we replied yes however, we did not receive this until 12:45pm.
Unfortunately, for $80 there was minimal food, in addition, the sandwiches were not fresh (I’m presuming made the day before in prep), these were freezing cold from the fridge and felt practically stale. I’m not sure how you could go wrong with a plain cucumber and aioli sandwich… sorry to say.
There were 3 of us at the table and on some plates there were only 2 of some items, leaving one of us to miss out on a few things.
We also ordered hot tea at the end which also took 20 minutes. Once it was brought over we were then reminded to leave in 15 minutes. The tea was scorching hot so we could barely drink it before our time was up.
Not once were we asked how our meals were. We even heard tables around us complaining about the quality for the price which deterred us even more.
Upon payment, we were also not asked about how our experience was, just told to pay. I’m presuming some people had already said something so the staff steered clear of even asking.
I also hate to say it, but we even ran into some local Magenta Shore residents who said they won’t step foot in the restaurant due to the price they pay for poor quality food.
Super disappointing. Though, I commend the set up and flowers (besides being placed up against a concrete pole that defeated the purpose of sitting next to the window).
We understand that things happen and business may be understaffed or unprepared due to behind the scene issues, I totally understand that.
Again, the idea was there but it all felt really...
Read moreOne of the staff where we are staying at the nearby Accor hotel recommended this restaurant as an Accor Plus member so me and my fiancé decided to have dinner here. The ambience of the restaurant was really nice but there are some comments that we would like to share with regards to the food. We started with the sea salt and caraway sourdough, the elements of the dish was nice but the sourdough as advertise with sea salt and caraway is lacking on flavour. For to share we ordered 2 dishes which is the scallops and arancini but I suggest make the food portion divisible by 2 since its to share. The arancini is missing some flavours and its on a bit bland side, good thing the date mayo was phenomenal to save the dish. For the mains we have the sous vide chicken and bouillabaisse, the chicken was nice but nothing special on the other hand the bouillabaisse was sensational but I didn't get my saffron potatoes with it and then again the sea salt and caraway sourdough just tasted plain sourdough. For dessert we had the ricotta bread & butter pudding and vahlrona chocolate cake, the vahlrona is amazing, very classic combination. The bread and butter pudding which is supposed to have malt ice cream tasted just plain vanilla ice cream. Overall, I would still recommended the restaurant, some dishes just needs some polishing. By the way, the service...
