Had a anniversary lunch here, the two course one. The drive in is pretty far, maybe 1km or more? Outside is quite simple, with some nice grasses and seating area outside. Inside was pretty elegant. All the staff are really friendly and polite. They gave us complementary sparkling wine glasses for our anniversary, that was so sweet. Their complementary bread with oil and balsamic dip was very nice, bread very soft and fluffy, but crispy outside. All foods were presented beautifully. For entree we had this octopus dish on a bed of chopped veggies, possibly pickled. While it was refreshing like eating a salad, I wasn’t wowed but the flavour of the dish. The main was beef steak, and that was cooked beautifully, I really loved the anchovy garlic sauce, just gives the right amount of saltiness even if just used a little. For dessert we tried something unique, which was this watermelon and marshmellow with sesame crisp and soy sauce. It sounds weird but the soy sauce was very subtle and gave a nice balance to the sweetness of the dish. Again, that was executed really well and we were impressed. As suggested by the staff, we also had a side of this eggplant with miso sauce. That was delicious. Overall very happy with everything, good value for the price.

It would have been a 5 if not for the hour long wait for our food to come out and the freezing restaurant due to the gas system being broken. We were a group of 11 so we pre booked and there were only 3 other tables of 2-4 in the restaurant so the wait time should not have been that long. Despite that, the food and wine was delicious. The grazing board was a little over priced but had beautiful local produce. The menu is small but varied so there is enough variety for everyone. We had the roast lamb which was tender and not too fatty. The parsnip was earthy and perfectly cooked. I tried the tortellini with mushroom and thought it tasted amazing! My brother said a few more tortellini would have been good (only 3 pieces). The fish tacos were good but too small to serve our poor Italian guest who had just waited an hour for food. I would suggest, ordering your food and then jumping over to the cellar door where the lovely Kiwi Dexter will give you the full run down on the wines. And good wines they are! Try the award winning Cab Sav and the well balanced Voigner.

WOW !! Our first visit, definitely not our last, I’m already planning the next luncheon. What can I say but 10/10 on every level, we did the wine tasting prior to lunch, staff super friendly, fun, engaging and so much knowledge they know their wines and the history behind them all, felt very confident with their recommendations. Lunch is a whole other level of service & experience from the moment you walk in that door to being seated you are in for a treat, I was made to feel welcomed & embraced making you feel special. The menu is to die for its fine dinning 5 star 🌟 we chose different dishes to get an overall experience we opted for the 3 course menu 2 bottles of wine later we were wishing they had accomodation on offer. We visit the greater Sth West, Fergusson Valley, Margaret river region of WA regularly and Xanadu has truely blown everyone else out of the ball park. We will be back for my 65th mid December looking forward to trying out your 6 course degustation experience Thank you very much

Our wedding at Xanadu Wines was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the breathtaking setting, impeccable food and wine, and the outstanding support from Caity, our function coordinator. From our first visit, Caity’s warmth and enthusiasm made us feel completely at ease and excited about choosing Xanadu for our big day. Even though she wasn’t working the day we toured, she made time to show us around and share her passion for the venue, setting a stress-free tone for the entire planning process.

The ceremony was pure magic, held on the lawn beneath towering gum trees with a scenic vineyard backdrop. The space provided shade for guests and musicians, adding to the relaxed, natural ambience. The Xanadu team was wonderfully supportive in helping us add meaningful personal touches, like a chair reserved for a late parent and a welcoming sign, making the ceremony unforgettable. The beautiful landscape and caring service created a ceremony experience we will treasure forever.

Caity’s exceptional coordination skills shone throughout the planning process. She handled every detail seamlessly and even managed a last-minute vendor issue on the wedding day, allowing us to stay calm and enjoy our day. She took care of everything behind the scenes and guided me down the aisle, truly going above and beyond.

The reception at Xanadu Wines was equally perfect. The food and wine were flawless, with guests raving about the delicious flavours and late-night bites that were a hit. The setup of four long tables and a bridal table was both elegant and spacious, allowing guests to move comfortably throughout the restaurant. Thoughtful touches, like cozy couches for the children and access to the barrel room for unique photos, added to the charm and warmth of the space. The acoustics were also ideal, allowing everyone to hear the speeches without any echoing.

Xanadu Wines delivered an unforgettable experience, blending stunning scenery, amazing food, and flawless service. We couldn’t be more grateful to Caity and the Xanadu team for making our day so special. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a beautiful, well-catered wedding venue with a dedicated and...

This is my first visit to WA and the Margaret River region and being a ‘wine enthusiast’ , my challenge was to carefully select a shortlist of just 8 wineries out of the 100 that reside in this famous Australian wine region, as my wife is a non drinker and I wanted to keep our weeks holiday here in balance with other experiences.

We booked in to Xanadu for a two course lunch which was just delightful. Exquisite food, beautifully presented by the chefs and supported by friendly and helpful waitresses.

I visited the wine cellar prior, and was served by Sharon, who was very knowledgeable and provided a customised a tasting based on my preferences. The wines I tasted mostly included my favourite grape varieties of Chardonnay and Cabernet and I was offered different wines and vintages. Each of the wines I tasted ranged through very good to a few that were outstanding, which not surprisingly had a higher price tag. Sharon then recommended I try a different grape variety that I have never tasted before and that was Malbec. Which I thought was a real contrast to the tasting i had as it was a big juicy, fruity and fun wine and I bought a bottle for my family back home. A wonderful experience overall and I left with a much greater appreciation of one of my favourite wineries and how extensive their range of wines and with such...
