Thought we would try Lazy George out since in Marulan this morning. Was busy when we walked in with the end of the morning crowd. (Easy disabled access with disabled car space closest park to double door). Service was good, no complaints there. Prices middle of the road. Tasty food (so hungry ate food before photo). The bean of choice here for coffee is Campos, they also have it for sale should you wish to take it home. The sourdough is gluten free. The burgers look good (didn’t get one but will try next time (yes I will come back next time in Marulan. There is outdoor seating for those able to stand winter temperatures.

Great coffee. Unfortunately had to wait 35mins. Wasn’t overly busy however the poor girl serving, clearly they need more staff to accommodate. Saw at least five people walk away once they were told the wait time. Shame we would have also eaten food here but the wait time again was way too long for a road trip stop over. Note to the owner employee more staff get more business!! Just sayin’

What a fabulous discovery . Wonderful coffee and perfect loose leaf tea. My friend had the special - potato and leek soup - hearty and delicious. My husband had the eggs Benny - very nice and I had the avo stack - also very good value and very tasty. This is a great stop in a cute country town - perfect for enroute to the Snow or Canberra

Editing my review a year or so on.

Lazy George started with lots of promise but slowly cut many good menu items, service and staff got worse, coffees dropped in quality. It's still great to have this cafe in Marulan but there's not much to bring us back there when we're in town. I believe cost-saving was behind a few choices but having better options again might bring more people off the highway. With the town growing, it'd be a good time to go back to the Lazy George that we saw in the first few opening weeks.

My initial review:

Excellent food, the best chips, super friendly and relaxed staff, very chill atmosphere. Great addition to Marulan, worthwhile for a stop in for both locals and anyone passing by on the highway....

My wife and I ordered fish and chips today and were so disappointed. The lady on the counter was quite courteous, which was pleasant, but the atmosphere was terrible! The music was too loud and really annoying rock music. To make things worse the cook was talking over the music in the kitchen. Then to top things off, our meals turned up without a salad as advertised, just chopped cabbage (That is not a salad) Don’t get me wrong, I’m an ex guitarist and love rock music but there’s a time and a place! I suggest you don’t play what YOU want to listen to, think of your customers and keep the music at a low volume and an enjoyable/comfortable genre...

This particular problem has happened to me before at the Lazy George so I took a break away from your cafe. I returned on Sat 25th Jan for my usual order of 2 slices of fruit toast and coffee. The coffee was great and just the way I like it strong and extra hot.But once again the fruit toast was a let down. I had 1 really lovely slice and again unfortunately like the other time, I was served the end of the loaf which was at least 1/3 the thickness of the other slice. I honestly don't think this is acceptable as I paid for 2 slices and like the other visit that's not what I recieved. Service and atmosphere was...
