Alektor Charcoal Chicken & Souvlaki Grill Bar — Restaurant in Melbourne

I just had the most horrible experience at Alektor today. I have been coming here for years and was shocked at this mistreatment I received from the old guy who I assume runs the place. He was so rude and agressive and he told me to get out of his shop and that he wouldn't give me a refund for simply asking a few questions about the souvlaki and yeeros. I was so humiliated that I ran out the store in tears. He also told me not to bring along my troubles from home which I found extremely dispectfectful, unprofessional and rude. I am very happily married and expecting our first baby so did not expect to be treated so badly when I just wanted to try something different to eat. I regrettably have to say that I will now never be coming back here until that man no longer works there. His other staff were lovely enough to come out an apologise but I won't use the words to discribe the type of man he is. Please do not eat here if you are celiac!!! I called this afternoon and ask them if their chicken and chips were gluten free. She just said yes.. I’m like are you sure there isn’t bread in the stuffing and she said yes there is bread in the stuffing that’s it, I said I get very sick from gluten. The Greeks before knew this and was able to provide it for me so I thought maybe the new owners would be able to do the same. My dad picked it up an order that evening after 15minutes of eating the chicken and chips, no skin or stuffing to be extra careful. I was in severe pain and vomiting. I probably would visit this place at least once to twice a week. Food is really delicious and cheap but for some reason there is always a small problem with one item in the meal.

Today my chips were cold like cooked 15mins prior to me even walking in, after getting home I gave the store a call which the guy that served me stated he only just cooked them like 5mins ealry (which in my eyes is to long still) and that he would give me more chips if I was to come back now with them All.

So waste 10-20mins of my time for $3-4 worth of chips when you know there old before...
