Have been to this store at least 100 times during covid times and after. The majority of times it has been great! BUT! Today must have been a poor day! The service is starting to slip away! I must have been unlucky to have been served by one of the newer incompetent staff. She was pretty hopeless! For one, she didn't listen! Must be a former McDonalds employee! Got the coffee wrong, Got my name wrong. Even after I spelt it out to her. She proceeded to make my salad rolls and informed me half way through, there was no lettuce. I wanted one roll with beetroot and one without. The one without beetroot, I wanted mayo and onion on it. She put the tiniest smear of mayo on it and proceeded to spread it out with a knife! She then touched her hair because it wasn't pulled back in a hair net like it should have been. Then continued with the rolls without changing her gloves. She didn't put any onion on the roll. I asked if she could put salt and pepper on the tomato when she put tomato on both rolls, she didn't!. So we copped a couple of rolls with Cheese, a bit of ham, two small slices of tomato, one with one small slice of beetroot and the other with the smallest amount of mayo on it and a small amount of carrot on both. 2 almond milk Cappuccinos (which she had had prepared as lattes) and a party pie for the dog! All for the exorbitant price of $28.60. From the price I was charged, I'd say I was charged for 2 full salad rolls. What a rip off! Mr Allens must be smiling all the way to the bank! Aside from the poor service, this shop has become one of the most busiest places during and after all the covid lock downs and restrictions, Mr Allens has made a killing! And as soon as things became more normal he jacked up the prices. As if we've all...
Read moreGenerally a good Bakery for the typical food, but the older staff may need some serious training in customer service. I was ordering with my wife and listened to the staff give a man with his young child a stern talking to as they moved to a clearly marked floor space that was 1.5M away from the other customers. Seems like the responsible thing to do however she proclaimed loudly to this man he was skipping the Que and needed to go back to the front door, which at this stage was blocked up with clients. He hesitantly headed back towards the front door with his kids and advised the lady it would have been nice to have some clear signage out the front that there is a Que system as the floor just has tape markings for spacing, no numbers/tickets which was true as we walked in and slotted in to one of these spaces presumably ahead of other patrons too. What made me sick though, was this lady sought to demoralize the man by speaking nice and clearly "It's common sense" after he spoke of poor signage. I don't agree with anyone EVER from a customer service position, EVER, speaking like this to a patron and so obviously in front of many others to hear. Just dreadful to watch one person do this to a possibly great business and rest of staff reputation. I heard the guy say he was sorry, and mentioned he wanted to stay in the marked floor areas for social distancing, this was more than enough for staff to say "Sorry sir, sure it maybe confusing, but please jump to the back of the line out the front door in the cold with your kids, and we will be right with you" Last time we buy from here, Bakers delight and Mountain View Bakery next door for all your needs. Pick up your game people, just not on for staff to belittle clients...
Read moreWent to order a birthday cake. The guy who served me, he started only talking about how expensive the cake that I wanted to place the order in. All I could remember that he was talking about the price and how expensive the cake I was looking at. I showed him couple of photos. Again he started talking about they very expensive. I couldn't even think about what i wanted in the end. Isn't it upto the customer to decide whether the cake is expensive or not. I wanted to buy a two tier cake and the cost didn't really bother me. I do not care how much the cake was I only needed to buy a pretty cake. I think they need to provide customer with pricing and let the customer to decide whether they want it or if it is too expensive, not the staff deciding if it's expensive or not. Very disappointed, I wouldn't go there for cakes anymore. I already placed an order for an "expensive" cake as per the guy who served me there, with...
