Brandon Park Fish & Chips at Wheelers Hill Review update 17/5/2024
I definitely can recommend the fish and chip, sweet potato cake, banana fritter, and scallop to any fussy eater.
Since I have not tried other items, I cannot commend on them.
The shop is very clean, and the oil used for frying is always clear, resulting in golden brown crisp batter coating. In fact, this is a reflection of the owner's medical background before he migrated to Australia.
This is another heart warming success story of migrants in Australia. Review update 3/11/2023
I have introduced a number of my friends to try the 2xButterfish with Chips pack. They all agree that this really is the best not in quality but also pricewise. I prefer to have it as takeaway, and complement it with some green salad.

The 2pie e Butterfish with Chips are the best value. So are the Scallops as well as the Banana Fritters. The Sweet Potato chips has a different flavour and it is worth a try. The staff that takes order on the phone ispleasant and courteous. Review updated 25/5/2023
Business has changed hand. The existing owner was still around to train the new one. The fish & chips I very today is still the same quality.

Butterfish was on special today, it was very good value. The fish meat was softer than other fish.
I am glad that this fish and chips shop has not disappointed me. Thanks Visit Update on 1/7/2021
I have been misinformed by a friend that the premise was for lease, so I decided to check it out whether it was true.
I am glad that the information is wrong, otherwise I won't have a chance to sit down for an impromptu fish & chips lunch.
My wife decides to call the of friend who passed the incorrect information to join us, because both she and hubby missed having fish & chips a few days ago.
With permission with the boss, I take a few shots of the interior of the premise. The very clean shop front and the gleaming equipment are testimony of the owner operators who pride their business and livelihood.
The Butterfish and Chips is really first class. The batter of the fish is not thick, and fried to perfection. I always like Butterfish, because the meat is neither dry nor too firm. Both the fish and chips are fried to golden colour, and very crispy.
We have a great time catching up, and enjoy our lunch, under the unusually bright sunshine and "warm" weather. I ordered and paid for a piece of Flake, a piece of Blue Grenadier a medium chips. My wife saw the family pack for two consisted of two extra dim sims and two cans of cold drink for just a dollar or so more. So my wife asked whether she could change the order. Without hesitatation, the lady at the counter said yes if we kept the same fish ordered. I then proceeded to pay the difference, and one of the guys, probably the owner, just said not to worry. What a great customer service!
The shop was used to be round the corner next to a Chinese restaurant. The new shop is brighter and with spanking new fittings. It is bright and looks clean with the spotless stainless steel hood and fryers.
It was a cold Friday night, and the piping hot fish and chips were just right for the occasion. Well done, and I shall keep telling my friends about this Fish and Chips shop in...
Read moreSo sorry to Brandon Park Fish & Chips, been meaning to post my review a lot sooner...a few hours ago my parents, sister Corinne and I enjoyed the absolutely delicious feast they prepared for us that was delivered by Menulog. It was my mother's birthday and Corinne arranged for it. It was two orders of dim sims, the Butterfish special of four fried butterfish (with an extra fifth one included as a lovely surprise, thanks a lot to the owner we are so grateful), a Coleslaw Calamari Pack Salad (comprised of salt and pepper Calamari with chips and coleslaw) and a Greek Calamari Pack Salad (comprised of salt and pepper calamari, chips and Greek salad).
When my parents, sister Corinne and I first moved to Australia in 1990, our first Fish and chips meal was from Brandon Park Fish & Chips that was very tasty, and 34 years later in 2024, it has only gotten better! The butterfish was fresh and beautiful fried with a nice crisp batter and melt in your mouth deliciousness. The chips were so tasty, the coleslaw tangy and flavoursome, the Greek salad authentic and appetising and the dim sums scrumptious! At $75.60 for the lot (not including the $5 Menulong delivery service fee), it is by far the BEST fish and chips meal we ever had in terms of taste, quality and value! I would very highly recommend Brandon Park Fish & Chips to everyone seeking a top notch fish and chips meal, from my parents, sister Corinne and I we thank them so much for it as well as the friendly service and the generous extra piece of butterfish free at no extra cost! We are so grateful to them! No wonder they are still around after...
Read moreThis is somewhere you would not expect to find the traditional run fish and chip shop and really glad I was recommended by others.
You have to try the Texas premium burgers, make sure you add an extra patty. It’s huge, restaurant style and delicious. Next time I am going 3 patties in total. Just can’t explain how smooth these burgers go down.
The chips with gravy and mozeralla, awsome treat. I had a small serve with my burger and 2 potato cakes and that felt just great. The portion looks huge, however sat well with me.
The kids had normal burgers, fish, chips, etc and all enjoyed it. I had a bite of the normal burger and it’s was way different to the premium style, still delicious, however premium is much juicy and tastier and will never go back to normal non premium burgers.
I am going back to try the rest of the menu, those fresh massive prawns, fish and calamari in the window looked extremely good.
Although it was take out I wish I could have ordered it instore amd just smashed the burger down, however there is no seating....but it’s still delicious at home.
Highly recommended and guaranteed you won’t find quality and service anywhere local as I was travelling to Sorento. Have to admit, it’s better than Sorrento and all this time it’s been in...
